How do you deal with dull/annoying colleagues?

Heh! Tell her how wonderful you are because you pay your own bills and don't have a mummy and daddy to pay the rent.

This thread is kind of putting me off looking at office jobs tbh.

yep me too, i walked out today on an early lunch:(

some guy who had made an inappropriate sexual remark a few weeks ago, came back for round two and told me it wasnt him it was my dirty mind:mad:

I lobbed the papertowels he had asked for at his head and told him he was a grade A Cunt...:(

Its not going well at the moment, infact id rather be on the dole than put up with this shit.....

My sympathies. One of my biggest pet hates is people who will not stop talking - I don't hate them as such, I just hate the fact that they talk your ear off, and won't shut up.

Another pet hate is the similar sort of person who asks a constant barrage of personal questions, and makes overly personal comments.

Oh, and here's another one: the person who constantly needs help of some sort - I don't mean serious help - just the sort of person who constantly wants you to do favours for them.

And here's another pet hate: people who drop in without warning. They are totally disruptive.

I'll shurrup now! :D

You shouldn't have to put up with it though. :( Haven't you got a boss you can speak to?

One of my collegues the other week pointed out this American permanent FE student aged in his 30s who on a few occasions has brush pasted her purposely and felt her up! She has big boobs for her size and says that this happens quite a bit.

Didnt know what to say to her. It's something you kind of have to address when it happens, I guess. I would have gone mad after the first time but benefit of doubt just the once. A male collegue was around on one occasion and witnessed it who then gave him a stern talking to.

He came in asking for her the other week, felt like twatting him one...sorry for derail, but how do you handle sleazebags like that in the workplace? :hmm:

Actually, this isnt a derail, in my opinion of workplaces, the dull/annoying collegaues which is the subject, often unconsciously attracts lecherous types.
I think sleazebags are attracted to people who come across clueless or dopey (orang-utans colleague) and the sleazebag on here.
Clueless types usually havenot got enough self awareness to know their rights.
The sleazebag is committing an assault, and he knows what he is doing. He needs sacking as its an assault isnt it.

NO....she reported me:rolleyes:

HR have a history with her, but nothing happens, our company never sack, but no fucker has constructively dismissed her either........

Everyone knows what she is like but they just put up with it---im fuckin not anymore:rolleyes:

All you have to say is you reacted in the moment, to non-physical violence perpetrated against you by her.
As violence isnt acceptable, she cannot expect to act violently towards colleagues, with no retalliation.

Fair play, self respect is worth more than a job, if the jobs full of toss-pots.
School took a chunk of self respect, and work took another chunk.
Its only this last few years I am slowly getting it back.
