How badly paid are local news photographers?

What does that even mean?

your opening post bang on about they way they are dressed not about the quality of their work. why is this different to someone saying I don't think they should take photos there black? Gay? a woman?

it's not a photography thread it's a herbsman doesn't like the way someone else looks and this negates their photography immediately.

you should deal with your prejudices and hang ups in that regard.

it's you that's being as you put it retarded. the way they look has no impact on their shots and dispite your bluster and bollocks you've yet to post anything which supports your disparaging opening post as to why it would disqualify them, clearly if they are being published then this isn't an issue for their subjects or their publisher I wonder why it's an issue for you.

either it's prejudice or jealousy which is it?

I favour jealousy because you only have too look at this thread as an example of how you respond towards other photographers.

so you started the thread defend your reasons for you comments.

Garf, haven't you got a wedding to shoot? Put some time and energy into that intead of chatting bollocks on here.

A little side issue from the thrust of the thread.

In some local papers you see numbers on the photos whereby you can order prints of said picture through the paper. Does the photographer get any/all of this or just a flat fee?

will depend on the deal struck with the photographer whether it's sold as a licenced image or bought lock stock by the paper.

so you're not going to defend your comments then.

I'm quite good at my time management I'm currently awaiting something rendering for that shoot thanks all the same for your faux concern...

He'll probably go with his hair in a mohawk and wearing really baggy cargo shorts so baggy that his arse is showing and a hoody with "FUCK YOU I WON'T WEAR WHAT YOU TELL ME" printed on it

The funniest part is where he accuses you of racism. :D

no i didn't you fuck wit i was drawing a comparison fuck me it's the chorus of chuckled heads on this thread...

I liked it when he implied what he wore can affect the quality of his work.

again dipshit I'm stating the opposite...

The big question is though, will Garf stick it to the man at the wedding as well?

doubt it if you'd spent more than 5 mins surfing for your troll fodder son you'd see that it's a good mate...

sorry I don't dress like you and I'm too fat for that kinda teeshirt and way to bald for a mowhawk these days...

still nice to see your stereotyping of people is along standard conformist lines, another tory art student waiting for their accountancy job where they can reminisce about their wild outrageous times as an art student photographer...

nice one playah playah..

Oh no he needs the wench to come and back him up!

So paps and fashion and studio photographers all dress like homeless people, is that what you're trying to say TP?

you obviously wouldn't know would you... they certainly don't dress like they are heading for a day in the office at canary wharf.

love the extremely cheap shot.

again dipshit I'm stating the opposite...

o abject refuse to dress smartly if you'r going gonzo then you need to commit to it fully... fuck their dress codes and fuck yours too... i'm there to work and work comfortably to allow me to get the best shots I could give a shit if you think that as an attendee of an event you have to ascribe to some sort of dress code I'm not an attendee I'm there to work and I'll work how i work not how you think i should work...

same goes for any cunt wanting or assuming a dress code...

i think that the point may be that there's dressing acceptably, and dressing unacceptably. on the one hand, garf's right if you're at an event you don't really want to look like someone attending it, for example doing a wedding, you don't want to look like a guest. on the other hand herbs is right. you don't want to look like you've been sleeping in a box either. i'm not saying wear a suit, but make an effort.

sports casual anyone ?

well they did try dressing like you son but frankly they all earn more than that and no one can find ration book hand me downs like yours in charity shops...

I remember when it was all trees, fields and unicorns round here.

Occasionally this pissed artist with a can of Tennants used to wander in and tell you were his best mate/a wanker, but that was about it...
