There are dodgy events happening all over the place. Level crossings, runways, hospital closures, the design of city-centre office blocks, shit food being served in canteens. You know what's bad. You can smell it. You don't have to wait in line for the workers to erect the barricades.

Er, not exactly, its a legal protest by environmentalists dressed in suffragettes outfits, etc and is echoing the Suffragettes 'Parliament Rush' (which was very illegal indeed) to make their point about not being listened to.

Legal? Not a chance, but why does that matter?

What does matter is how ridiculous it is to have militant actions calling for "a government that leads", "tough leadership" etc., supported by self-described anti-authoritarians. No wonder the police took such a softly-softly approach.
