Horne and Corden

They're just two actors aren't they? Not comedians at all. I don't get why they're being pushed so hard - on hang on - yeah I do - making a quick buck - right?

I saw them on the Secret Policeman's Ball and all they did was run around the stage like a couple of drunken pricks at a wedding. It was tragic.

I feel a bit sorry for them because they're turning themselves from two guys that people really liked in Gavin and Stacey to people everyone thinks are tossers. Bad advvice from somewhere!

Them on the SPB was car crash TV at it's finest.

Really, really unfunny. Like a very drunk uncle at a wedding thinking he is the life and soul of the party.

Their stint at presenting the Brits was on a similar level.

Gavin and Stacey was great, but they both appear to be knobbers in real life. I read an article at the weekend where the little one was describing himself as an elf :rolleyes:and I previously read an interview with the other one when he was going on and on about how super confident he had been since he was a small child, and it made me think that he sounded like a complete tit.

I think Nessa probably has all the real talent.:)

Absolutely insane that this went to air - even if the BBC laid out for it, surely when they watched it, they must've known it was a carcrash.

From what I saw, there were only two jokes - 1 being "aren't gay people stupid and crap?" and the other being "isn't James Corden fat?" I can't believe they strung that out for 30 minutes. I turned off after the "I'm gonna cum" sketch because that was honestly top 3 worst things I've ever seen in any context and I've seen - and got executive producer credits - on snuff videos.

Is the problem that Ruth Jones is funny but James Corden isn't? Cos, for me, the only funny stuff in G&S has to do with the welsh characters.

I read a review in the free rag on the way home, which condemned it, but I started watching it anyway. It was, however, so bad that I couldn't bear to watch it for more than a few minutes.

As the reviewer put it - where were the jokes?

That review actually did make me laugh out loud :D

The only 'joke' I saw was that one of them was .

He seems to be making quite a career on the back of it.

It's a shame as a lot of comedians are like that, Jo Brand springs to mind. That Alan Carr twat (on his teeth, voice and being gay) too.

saddest thing i heard about this carcrash was that kathy burke was involved in this as well apparently (production or direction or something). they're a pair of untalented unfunny wankers imvho.

But she was also involved in Gimme Gimme Gimme too so it's not too surprising.

I hate James Corden so much it makes me want to smash things.

It's funny you should say that, I've never seen anything he's in :o but we have a magazine in the toilet with a picture of him on the front and it annoys me every single time I see it :D

Gruniad review is on the money...while they're not bad perfomers they clearly can't write comedy and should go back to doing other people's work.

I saw a bit of that sketch show the peep show guys did and felt that way.

Some Mitchell & Webb stuff was genuinely funny though. Numberwang was played out way too long, but some of the Nazi stuff they did was well observed, interesting ideas and funny. Horne and Corden are light years away from that standard.

I had a chuckle here or there - what can I say, it had a been a long day, I'd had a couple of drinks...:D...

They clearly just think they are national treasures. It's sad when you see people labouring under the misaprehension that people really love them and have a limitless tolerance for their tedious bullshit. I'm aware of the irony in my being the one to say that.

I've seen far worse on BBC3 - hardly a ringing endorsement I know but it did make me laugh a couple of times. I think whether you like it or not depends on your tolerance of Corden - I rather like him although fully understand why a lot of people would like to kill him in the face.

I don't even know which is which and to be honest I don't want to, I could find out quite easily but haven't bothered... One looks smug and pouty all the time and the other just seems to jump around continously.

I just complained to the BBC complaints line about how shite this was.

The lovely women said comedy was "very subjective" and that the BBC needs to appeal to a wide audience.

A "wide audience" to me would mean making a comedy that was funny.

Unless, there are new types of comedy that aren't funny. Is this the new thing?

Its' BBC3 I imagine they've heard far, far worse...truly a terrible waste of a channel. I swear the Beeb just pick any old shit under the idea that at some point they might unearth a gem that can be shunted on to BB2. Big amounts of fail so far.

I turned over to 'Marry, Snog, Avoid' or summat the other night.

Fuckin' 'ell! :(

I just dont bother with BBC3 making the assumption that if anything is any good it will get shown on the proper channels.

Nighty Night, Pulling? :)

I know it seems like that, but at least I wasn't complaining about swearing or what not, I was just commenting on how shite it was.

If we don't tell BBC Three this, how will they ever know?

They know, alright. It's making them care that will be the tricky part!

Nighty Night, Pulling? :)
Apparently Pulling has been (ironically) pulled so these 2 twats get away with making utterly shite tv whereas a funny and slightly surreal series gets the old heave ho.

What do we pay our license fee for!!!!!

(well, i don't, the missus does but ykwim)
