I'll give Barrett the benefit of the doubt as I read the books for the trash joke value. Yup everyone gets it dished out in those books, including "ocker" white Australians but even so the Australians useage of "wogs/pakis/lebs" isn't and cannot be nuetralised by making fun of a white suburban couple.

John Howard has lost touch and is too busy being Bush's Deputy Sherrif in the Pacific,but in fairness what are we supposed to do with 2000+ refugees?In these times of terrorist activity we cant let them all go into the community without checking their bona-fides,and you cant separate mothers and fathers from their kids can you?Other options are to blow them out of the water or fly them straight back to their countries of origin where they will almost certainly face persecution.

Refugess rot in John Howard's prison camps for years and many suffer severe mental health problems as a result.

Didn't I just read a report in the paper a few eeeks ago that they had some bloke locked up for ages and he finally was able to get a court to prove he was already alegal resident of Australia? Don't expect the immigration people to beleive the word of a "leb" though, just lock him up at that place Wollomeera (sp?)
