Correct NBN! and that where most of this soapie is filmed at in the last 5 years (i think). The reason why Mersey TV production moved from filming the scenes from Chester to Liverpool was that the actors and camera crew got a lot of hassle from the local scall's in Chester.

I used to watch Hollyoaks a lot - but i'll watch it now an again if i'm bored. One of the most impressive stories was Mandy physically abusing Tony.

The previous Hollyoaks late was cool - specially with Lee's attempts to doin the nasty with two laydeez!

Well done the Cestrian scalls! The Hollyoaks cast are always out and about in Liverpool, usually down the Albert Dock in the yuppy bars (I never go in of course, just look through the window and scowl). Seen Mandy down there, that fella who used to go out with the singer Lulu and the one who plays his brother. Saw Lee in St Johns shopping centre, and Bombhead in the city centre after the Champions League final.

I think the late night one-offs are okay, but as for the regular daytime show, just having it on in the background makes me want to chew my own leg off. Moan, whine, whinge, bitch, mither, moan, whine, whinge, bitch, mither...it's rammed with really shite stage school narcissists who just can't act and for me serves as a stark yardstick of how far Phil Redmond has fallen since the glory days of early 'Grange Hill' and 'Brookside'.

About time someone started talking sense.

ANYONE could make that programme, just find the most desperate and fake actresses, stick them on a identikit set with a load of effeminate whining tosser blokes who look up to cunts like Vernon Kaye, and the plots would write themselves.

Hollyoaks is clearly a fucking load of wank, and the amount of airtime it gets on Channel Four is a joke.

If they fucked off the tiresome Friends repeats as well as the Hollyoaks - precisely what would they show on a Sunday??

Even Brookside was better.

Utterly agree. IMO 'Brookside' was untouchable from 1982-1988...the rest is Max Farnham.

I know it's technically shit, bad scripts, terrible acting but I do love it!

My friend is a script writer on it and as he says - it's not fucking rocket science - which can be nice sometimes - who needs to 'think' on a sunday morning!

Yeah bombhead and lee are a great double act as are OB and Max, but its Little Tom who wins for me, that kid is cute as a button and funny too

Wow! Surprised to find a Hollyoaks underground on Urban!!

Haven't seen any of the Let Loose eps, altho an Oaks hating mate saw one and said it was pretty decent TV. Sounds like the date rape thing has been handled in the same way as Lukes rape was a few years ago - that was as brutal as the scene in Scum IMV and the 'normal' eps showing Luke's internalisation etc were very well handled.

Plus it's perfect eye candy on Sunday mornings for the laydeez and gentz...

Simply because it IS crap but I kind of like it so not crap for me! It was more of a hangover cure for me because of the rubbish and the totty! Not to hard to watch.
