Max sat in the shop, staring out of the windows Mr B would fill with the assortment of goods of the store. He sat there, thinking of his Dad, of how he found happiness after the death of his wife with Helen and how he was cruelly struck down in the prime of his life.
He thought about little Tom, and how he’d behaved toward his own child, how he’d allowed his own selfishness to get in the way…all his life to this moment seemed a succession of bright sparks illuminating a dark path, only to be snuffed out too quickly.
A familiar figure appeared in his peripheral vision – OB. His longest, oldest friend, and another person who, despite Max’s selfishness had always been there for him, always been there to offer support, a smile and a beer.
OB put his arm around Max
‘Chin up fella, you’ve been through worse and come through on the other side’
‘Not like this – she was my life, all of it. And now she’s gone.’
‘Yeah, but you’ve still got me, eh?’ OB replied in his familiar tone
‘But I want HER!’
‘Don’t worry about it mate.’ And saying so, OB hugged Max. And Max felt comfort and support and strength flow through OB’s arms, and knew his friend would always be there. That there was an unbreakable bond between them. Looking up at OB he said:
‘You’re the best mate ever’
OB leaned forward and kissed Max on the forehead
‘You’re alright mate, I’m here now. We’ll always look out for each other’
A tumultuous tempest of feelings was overwhelming Max – feelings he’d known about for a long time but ignored; feelings he wasn’t sure he could ever talk about, or express but that now seemed to make perfect sense to him.

Thinking about it, is there anyone in Hollyoaks to actually like?
I used to like Max but hes gone off the rails and is far too serious. Bomb-ed was ok until love island. I liked his REAL magic and seeing the dead stuff.

Tom's quite cute! Ooh, and I like Dom and Tony, and actually I like Michaela, Mercedes, and the little sister of the swimmer(you know, who was going out with Rhys) who is clearly up the duff...that's about it though really. I wish Nicole had been burnt to bits. She annoys me so much!

I'm a bit lost as I only watch Hollyoaks when I can wake up that early on a Sunday.
I know who Mercedes is but who is Michaela? Is that her mixed race sister? Wasn't Rhys going out with the swimmer girl? Has he got her little sister pregnant? Wow, I'm behind.

Swimmer girl wised up to Rhys (and will stay wised up hopefully) after he took some vaguely rude photos of her, and they ended up in the readers wives section of a Nuts a-like magazine.
Michaela is blonde little sister of Mercedes, and mate of swimmer girls little sister - you know, they used to hang about the park, getting pissed on alcopops and being pressured in underage sex...one their male peers is responsible, probably someone called Dazza or the like.
