Hmmm! I wonder who will be first to suffer?

Its like an addictive drug, just look at the way people on here react.

but you forgot to add hundreds of silly emoticons and an off the wall 'insight' into some position of some miniscule sect?

you let me down

Workers Fights' pamphlet on the Chinese Manufacturing Industry seems to be incorrect in their analysis of the ability to produce complex, sophisticated goods.
It calimed that the Chinese could never produce decent micro-electronic Hardware.
At the moment I am using a Lenovo laptop made entirely in China, which is as good as any in its range (in my opinion)

Hows' That?

To be honest i don't think Zachor is all that bad if you just take his beliefs, but the Tories are against everything he stands for so why the hell vote for them? They destroyed this country in the 80's, ran down the NHS , pissed millions of north sea oil money up the wall, destroyed industries, entire villages turned from thriving into drug infested warzones....
so WHYYYY vote for the fuckers?

I really wish there was an alternative but I can't see one. Well not one that will be effective enough to boot out the Chief Thief Brown and co.

Hmmmm...that's assuming that anti-depressants have 100% efficacy for everyone. Which isn't true.

Obviously.
My point is that somatoform disorders are somewhat more amenable to treatment in a primary care setting than actual organic back damage is, and that GPs could surely use such anti-depressants as a tool of differential diagnosis.

Its a toss up as to which category (temp) tory or moderate zionist that the loons and extremists hate me for most :D

Seriously, though back to the topic. I really really can't see why people on here have a problem with those who can contributing to society if they are in reciept of benefit by giving labour and getting support?

Beveridge himself saw that idleness is a great evil and included it in his list of said evils, which were: want, disease, ignorance, squalor and idleness.

Disease and want can be cured most effectively by the state or society acting as a collective but squalour ignorance and idleness are evils that are individuals do to themselves their families and their communities. Thats not to say that the collective doesn't or shouldn't have responsibilities and stopping people being destructively idle should be considered as important as education and environmental improvements.

I along with many others have no problem paying for the genuinely sick, or people fleeing oppression but what we do object to is paying for the well to be idle and spiralling into depression and crime.

I was a bludger I realised it was wrong and I don't see what is wrong with saying that.

Have you read any histories of the Beveridge report?

Probably not, or you'd know that Beveridge's "idleness" didn't pertain to "scroungers", but mainly to unemployment and under-employment, it's causes and it's effects.

Yup. I do understand that he was speaking of under and unemployment. But it cannot be denied that idleness in both senses of the word is destructive.

Not on my own. If I hadn't a kick up the arse (several kicks up the arse in fact) I would have ended up as some sort of casualty. Others helped I couldn't and didn't do it alone.

So people helped you. Yet you deny that help to anyone else and call them "bludgers".

Why is it fucked up. I was a bludger. I should have picked my self off dusted myself down and got on with it. But I didn't I wallowed in a shitty depression pit and made myself worse. I saw for a time idleness as a virtue (jI'd been fucked over so why shouldn't I fuck over the state IYSWIM) instead of a destructive sin (using sin in the context of 'falling short' rather than a religious context). I lost too much time when I could have used my life in a productive way and I regret that. Part of the reason I'm so harsh on bludgers is that here are people who could be useful to themselves and their community just existing - which is NEVER pleasant.

Read back what you wrote there. You're blaming yourself for being depressed, for not being strong enough. You sound quite angry with yourself tbh.

I don't EXPECT people to sort themselves out but I do expect people to take some responsibility for themselves.

Sometimes people need help to do so. Like you did.

II was a nastier fuck up when I was a bludger believe me :(

You come across as very bitter and full of loathing for self and others.

Um, it does come across as a little pathological. Hating oneself and having a job, instead of hating oneself and not having a job, doesn't mean that one is well.
