Streetsounds Electro 3 - V/A

It deserves to be the biggest crossover record since The Cold Vein. Whether or not it will be...
Woods & Priv are just on some other shit.

Dunno how you can say that! They're excellent imo and fantastic live, by all accounts.
Things Fall Apart is a really strong album, "You Got Me" is one of the best hip hop narratives ever, I reckon. Really strong story telling and interplay by Black Thought and Erykah Badu is great stuff.
Horses for courses, I suppose.
Enjoyed that muchly - will have to give the album a proper listen - have listened (and liked) to it a few times since you copied it for me but get distracted and forget to go back to it - can see it being more rewarding with repeat listens![]()

not wishing to be a pedant but it was Eve on 'You Got Me' that rapped with Black Thought. Before she went solo, and was, lets face it, a bit crap.
Erykah just sang the hook..
She can rap though, but only about as well as Missy Elliot can sing..

i tend to like hip hop which is a little positive (but not cheesey). Just not into the tough guy thing.
Giant panda - fly school reunion. The follow up electric laser sucks.
Edan - beauty and the beat
Themselves - the no music
The Grouch - Simple Man- Beans and Rice Sampler has some great tunes
Collective efforts (self titled)
and not strictly hip hip but the herbaliser - blow your headphones is very good.
If anyone knows what I mean by 'punchline' rap recommend me some of that gear.
Try One Be Lo, he's sort of in between the two, and easily one of the best MCs around, imo...
Professor green is your man!(he treats chicks mouths like fred wests basment and drops off kids there) & apathy and celph titled.(or one of em anyway can't remmeber which ones which)

thats part of a mitchell brothers song- routine check(remix) and he does it over the harvey nicks beat.
