Well I'd consider Wu-Tang Gangsta Rap, not Hip hop. An they've definately been posted.

Just for starters like :)

Again though... Arseholes :D

I would definitely not consider wu tang as Gangster rap, but then it seems anything that isnt soft is being lumped in as gangster rap.

Pah, im getting off this thread now. It's turning SOFT.

This is why I said it's an arguement best left alone. It's sort of subjective really.

shouldnt you be listening to some soft shite. :p

besides, Gangstar rap to me is stuff like Dre, NWA, Domino, all that kinda west coast shizzle.

NY can get gangsta!!!

mobb deep & DMX for a start oh and onyx, obviously.

*looks up domino*

Oh him, snoop lite.

But it's metal really. Metal aint soft bar a couple of faux pas.

Well, to my ears - and let's face it, they've heard a fuck of a lot more different types of MCing and beats that some - those aren't soft. Different, but hey.

Matter of taste, I guess.

Indeed they can, but when I think of Gangsta Rap, I think of West Coast, Bouncing cars in vids, bloods and crips, bandanas, flannel shirts, keyboard riffs etc etc.

Then the Dirty South took it up a notch with the keyboard riffs, gun shot soundbites, super catchy hooks and came up with da Crunk.
