Hillary Clinton will never get elected US president...

It will _probably_ be a Democrat.

I'd bet the farm on that. Of course it will make no difference. Why anyone still bothers to vote is beyond me--it just gives legitimacy to the whole charade.

Something which I think is becoming increasingly apparent to the US public. My sense is, though, that there are more disillusioned Republicans than Democrats, and also tribalism (which is pretty much all that mainstream US politics is about these days) is a reason in itself.

We're talking the election, not the candidacy.

The candidacy is determined by an election. And this time, the Democratic candidate is almost certain to be the President, so Hilary v. Obama is the real deal.

She won't be facing a black man in the presidential election.

She'll win against Obama, certainly, though that process is even less democratic than the actual election.

So Obama and Clinton are fighting it out to be Democrat candidates?
yes, and she is way ahead. then she'll be put up against the white male republican candidate and she'll lose which will result in another 4 to 8 years of republican rule

Yeah.

I'm not in the US so I don't really have much of a sense of how Edwards is doing, but, you know, he's a bit radical isn't he?

Interestingly, pretty much everyone I know who isn't a tosser in the US and has done one of those "which candidate is best for you?" polls has come out with Kucinich. Like he'll get the candidacy of course.

"England"? England is but one division of the United Kingdom. We don't directly elect Prime Ministers btw.

because, I wouldn't trust a woman in that position especially with all their emotionality and drama.

who's that?

He's a former poster who held similar views to you on the subject of Hillary Clinton. I'm only surprised that you haven't uttered the auld chestnut "A woman's place is in the home".
