I think it should have been said in a non-English manner, i.e. not semi-seriously, vaguely [and badly!] disguised as a joke, for whatever reason...
I mean, broadly speaking, it's a standard form of behaviour in the UK, as most are afraid to have any opinions, since one is immediately branded "opinionated" and whatnot... It's much better to be "unsure", "sit on a fence", "wait and see", "joke about xyz in a light-hearted manner" but never state what one really thinks...
That's the general mode of behaviour, hedging one's bets, never "exposing oneself" and if one does it one does it privately, so that one "will deny it" if push comes to shove....
Does anyone know why do the English behave in this manner for sure, other than the class system explanation, where the "confidence" is only left to those upper classes, "borne to rule", educated from public schools, best universities and whatnot... and the rest... are "unsure", since not as well educated etc. etc.
She IS bossy and full of herself, eye, she is!!! It's bloody obvious!!! She is also prone to lying as far as her tongue would carry her. NOT trustworthy at all!!! Her "ideas" about healthcare are - I stand to be corrected here but from what I saw - "realistic" only, her foreign policy is awful, from Bosnia to Kosovo and so on... So, wtf?!?
