High Street Kensington - anyone know it well?

Just looked 52 up and that goes to Vic Station so that's handy. They could take a walk along Vic Street and I could tell them to get a bus up to Trafalgar Square and walk back down Whitehall and across the River to the Namco Station where b/f could meet them from Brixton and I could meet them from work.

I reckon it's about a 20 min walk. But if you've got a travelcard you may as well jump on a bus.

What's the Namco Station?

I've decided it might be a bit daunting for them, so have decided against it for now.

NAMCO Station next to London Aquarium. Somewhere to just sit down and have a drink. Mini 10-pin bowling/bumper cars there etc.

My b/f knows the way there so it's best place to meet for us all

Right, it sounds like she wants something pierced.

Anywhere in Kensington or Oxford Street where she can go for that?

There's a place that does piercing on the Charing X Rd end of Old Compton Street and there's a pub almost next door to it. Not quite on Oxford Street but fairly close

Edit: Oh and i think shops are open from 12-6 on oxford street on a sunday.

Shall look into that. What about anywhere Piccadilly Circus or Chinatown way. They're going to see Mamma Mia at the theatre, and we might try and get to Chinatown as well.

(Sorry for being a pain, but b/f can't walk that far so that's why we need things that are close to each other)

Mamma mia used to be on old compton street but not sure if it still is. OCS is very close to chinatown as well if that's any help? Is this linked to your chinese restaurant thread? Cos if it is y ming is dead close by, on the south end of Greek Street iirc, just off OCS.

Website for Prince of Wales Theatre says Coventry Street

Haven't decided if we'll do Mamma Mia AND Chinatown on the same day yet.

It has moved then, coventry street is right off piccadilly circus. You're still on the fringes of chinatown there though if you do decide to do both.

Well, we'll see how their legs are holding up after 2 museums and how far b/f's able to walk in two weeks' time :D

tbf that's probably quite a long day in itself, 2 museums and the theatre :D

yeah, but she's 16 and apparently goes jogging 15km per day. On the other hand, dad is overweight and diabetic so I have to take it easy. I figured if he gets knackered walking in the museums, he can sit and have a cup of tea while she wanders

which reminds me - must try and dig out a SIM card or it'll cost me a fortune which them on roaming
