Hey! Hey! You! You!

Deryck and Avril sounds less like a Pop Star couple and more like characters from 'Whatever happened to the likely lads'.

i loved that first (?) one with the colourful video...when she was with No Doubt. what was it called? i remember thinking she was one of the most gorgeous women i'd seen, or heard, in a long time.

Am pretty sure the first video they did was for 'Just A Girl' ... remember quite liking it when it got played late night on MTV's 'Alternative Nation' :)

the first internationally released video was for just a girl, but no doubt had released 2 (i think) albums in the US before then. they were shite. i quite liked just a girl for about 20 minutes when i was a teenager, but i was young and stupid.

oh ok. Don't Speak, as Dub said, is the one i was thinking of though. i really liked that video and thought she was gorgeous in it. :)

Bowling for Soup is where it's at though.

I am glad I now know where "It" is "at" - this knowledge will help immensely in my efforts to avoid "it" from now on......especially if Bowling for Soup are representatives of "it"

To me it sounds like she’s trying to imitate Gwen Stefani’s recipe for chart success. That drummy/clappy ‘Hey Mickey’ bit is very similar to the ‘bananas’ bit in Stefani’s ‘Holler Back’ song. She’s ditched the skateboard for a bandwagon…

Fuck, I was about to start a thread saying that this is the best song in ages. It's just so fun!

What's bizarre is I had Dubversion in mind as the first person to come and try piss on my pop parade.

:)

That's because she doesn't need to. Toni gets her point across without having to resort to that kind of childish attention-seeking behaviour.

*hopes Dub doesn't remember the cheerleader outfit*

i remember the cheerleader outfit.

Did you know Toni Basil is one of the hippy "chicks" (ahem) in the graveyard tripping sequence in Easy Rider?
