they (well, Hiro) has already gone back to the present.

Everybody else in the future is pretty much dead.

Hiro and Ando went back at the end of the episode, to try and kill Sylar.

When you do ;)

So was the implication that Sylar had killed Nathan yonks ago and had been masquerading as the president for years?

Or had he only killed him more recently?

Some of the exposition was a bit cringeworthy "So, Mohinder, the research project I've had you working on for the last five years to find a cure, got anywhere with that?" "No it's useless"

I loved the whole "evil Parkman" "serious Hiro" and "nice-guy Bennett" stuff

That's totally the most over-excited I've been about a TV programme probably ever! :D

I think it was something to do with the explosion. Peter said to Jessica that he had killed DL and Micah in the explosion but Sylar had DL's ability to go through walls....

He also had some weird blue fire thing going on when he was fighting Peter - I don't think we've seen that one before.

ooh yeah, good point tommers!

You would have though Sylar would have amassed loads more powers in the intervening years though?

I want to see more Sylar vs. Peter fights!

There's still no explanation for the funky symbol appearing on Hiro's sword, Jessica's shoulder and in the metalwork of Isaac's flat is there?

the blue fire was the same as the electromagnetic pulse as last week. "Burn bright - not hot."

Does anyone else watch last weeks again on BBC2 every wednesday?:o

How come the Peterelli Mansion in NY, Manhattan I presume, looks undamaged 5 years after the bomb when the rest of NY was flatened..??

How does that radioactive man kill without getting radiation poisoning?

It was explained in part some episodes ago. Hiro said it was Japanese meaning Gods gift or something...

Australia?

I thought that was the name of the sword, not in reference to the symbol.

only once. because i *ahem* couldn't remember anything that had happened the previous week. :o

It was weird watching it again... kind of vaguely remembering bits but then drawing a complete blank later on.

Do you get any extra insight watching it again?

right, here's a question what i just thought of.

If Sylar killed Jessica then would he get a good twin?

I think it was Sylar's 'cold' power. It's only been seen once before, in the second(?) episode when the police were at the murder scene and one of the victims had been frozen.

And yes, even though i've seen them all before on the tinternet. Double :o

sometimes. this week, especially.

Last week I really couldn't work out why hiro thought Issac might still be alive. This time i got it.

Looked to me to be one explaination for their powers....

So God is responsible for the origin of the species. Bah.

If Hiro can timetravel, why doesn't he go and kill Sylar when he's still working as a clock repairer?

Suresh knows that Sylar killed his old man, and had enough information about him to know that he was the first patient, had his DNA &c. Now Suresh believes timetravel is real that should be the first thing that comes to mind.

the time travel bit is all quite complicated really. why can't hiro go back and save that waitress? kill sylar when he's there?

the ability to freeze time and teleport basically means he can do anything. I don't really understand the reasons he had for not doing it.

kyser_soze said:
That will be revealed to you in about 1 episode if you've already met the waitress...

to be honest I think it has already been "revealed".

I just didn't understand it.

She had a brain tumour or something and hiro took that to mean he couldn't go back and change the past? Something like that.

I just let it slide and tried not to think too hard about it. :o

Ah, ok...basically, she was destined to die, and Hiro couldn't do anything to prevent it, i.e. he can't change history that way - if someone is destined to die, they will die.
