Here comes the rain...

The road outside my house in Southampton is flooded, the cars are all trying to drive through the shallowest bit and there's no pavement left to speak of

I like this rain:cool: I've just been out in it walking my dog in Deptford Park - there was no-one else there apart from one brave soul who was out jogging.

It's been pouring it down all day, relentlessly. I have to go out in it soon with just a shit umbrella and dodgy fabric coat for protection. Why didn;t I listen to the weather forecast rather than think "Oh, I'll be okay"

Pissing it down here, and has been pretty much all day. I got drenched walking 100 yards from bus stop to office earlier on, and there are puddles in Greenwich centre and lower Charlton that verge on being little floods...

flew back from heathrow to dk last night. Fuck me. There was turbulence before we even left the ground. As someone that hates flying, was absolutely shitting my pants.

It was bad enough for me to get up the ladder and start fiddling with my gutter on Saturday - I'll have to finish it on the weekend.

I wish I wasn't so terrified of heights. :(

recalled what E.J. once sang

Grey London morning,
wet London street
Rain on the window,
wind in the trees
...
Dark clouds above me,
little people below
All walk with a purpose,
with someplace to go
...
