Here comes the European elections!

Thanks, twat.

Does that mean Monsieur Le Trotskyist Post-homme Pat is an MEP? (Can't remeber the spelling... Besancenot?)
Sure hope so.

Pretty perfect spelling actually twat, dunno if he himself is, can't find any moer of a breakdown.

Btw, it's Facteur Pat. ;)

Anybody got any website tips for where I can find these very local results for the UK as they come in?

Looks like the North East are about to call.

So is the story of the night going to be UKIP doing great, and bad news for the Tories as much as Labour?

Oh I think when I was worring about BNP seats, I hadnt accounted for how few seats are up for grabs in the North East. I think if BNP get that share of the vote in other areas such as North West, West Midlands, they might get a seat.

Not sure about that, their share is 8.9% in the NE.

Last seats last time:

WM - LibDem 13.7%
NW - UKIP 11.7%

:)

Labour doing surprisingly well in the NE. 1st place.

The NE is basically Labour PLC - vast amounts of our money get wasted their employing people doing worthless jobs, with the result that two thirds of GDP in state funded. If it was an independant country, the North East would be on the same sort of level as Greece.

It's a basket case that owes it's continued economic existence to the Labour party, and will hopefully be crushed once we reelect the Tories next year.

I dont know exactly how the formula works. I think Ive mislead myself by reading that around 8% was enough to get a seat, but I have now realised they were talking about the South East in 2004 which had 10 seats up for grabs.

Yeah, SE is the biggest area with 10 seats, higher percentages are required everywhere else.

It's likely to be around that for NW, London, and slightly lower for SE. Rest on around 10-13%(except wales and NE which are much higher).
