henry decides to stay at arsenal

Cruyff believes Barca will find it difficult next season to defend their European and Spanish crowns.

"For this reason it would have been good that Henry signed because he is a great player."

Barcelona are currently searching for reinforcements in attack.

Henrik Larsson is returning to his native Sweden while Henry's snub came as a major disappointment.

Villarreal's former Manchester United striker Diego Forlan is the latest player to be linked with Frank Rijkaard's men.


I've been watching the Arsenal since 1973.I've seen a lot of players come and go..trust me Henry is special.

also i'm not wholly convinced that 'bloody germans' is an ironic commentary on dutch/german history

I thought it was interesting.... I dont think Henry is as in love with the ARSE as much as you lot are with him.

Its a shame as he is without doubt a great player but he comes accross as such a f**king twat with his whinging and stirring...

I wouldn't make that claim either for any of the players you've listed - not zidane, or nedved, or either of the brazilian dental models-and certainly not messi or eto'o

don't care if he goes home and makes voodoo dollies of dein and wenger each night, so long as he does the job on the pitch!
it's how he makes his living, don't expect sentiment to be his prime driving force

maybe i should restate my obscurely phrased (non)conclusion

1) there are perhaps half a dozen or more players of thierry henry's level or better playing in italy or spain
2) so it would be difficult to argue he was easily the best player in spain or italy now were he at inter or barcelona for example
3) that he can be plausibly described as such in the premiership, or even as the best ever in england, reflects poorly on the ability of english football to attract those elite wanked upon footballing semideities a la cruyff, platini, zidane

if someone thought henry is the best in the premiership that's cool, i'm not sure i quite agree but he is an amazing player, and i think most people would think rating him as the best ever in england was a little optimistic, though not as outlandish as to say kaka is the best ever to have played in italy, to make an awkward comparison

fuck it, i'm getting tedious here!

as for best arsenal forward, my choice has just retired, though henry has amazing instincts and acceleration as well as technique, so i won't argue with you there

Well I cant answer for yet another bunch of northerners...but (apprenty) The Arsenal stadium will be the most profitable in the world...and you only have to look across the Capital to see what (if you can pardon the pun) what an injection of capital can do for you....The Arsenals form in the Prem and FA cup will remain as good as it's been, we're back on track.

Is this what it's come to in these parts? You sad southern fuck. We played shit. Last thing I saw was the team with the trophy. Not sure if that would have been more enjoyable than a cockney cunt crying, guess I'll find out tomorrow when the sad cunts will be on the box pretending they deserved to win what we have 5 times.

I lived in Finsbury park, right near the Library...... what a f*ucking dump.... its as boring aand bland an area as you would ever wish to find
