henry decides to stay at arsenal

I don't think TH could hack it at Barca. He strikes me as being a Mat Le Tissier type, likes to be worshipped at a smaller club.

He's a good player, maybe not so good in the big games. He choked again on Wednesday and his antics after the match were painful to observe.
smaller club?

how many premiership have liverpool won again?

conveniently forgets the champions league;)

Bristol Rovers :o
i remember seeing man u against rovers and city back in the late 70's.
it was handy for us that they dropped to division2 because we got to see our team more often.

Yeah, I know I'm probably being silly, it just grates when I tell some of them who I support and they go "who?!!"... We were fucking playing you five years ago you fucking idiot!!! (actually more like eight but they don't know that :D)

Ah, so it's really sour grapes that they've done much better than you & left you behind !

its a win win situation: Henry signs for four more years, the ARSE get his services for another season or so and then flog him off for good money with two years left on his contract instead of rushing something through to avoid a Bosman in a year or so as this stood before he signed...

Mind you it would have showed through if he had done a Gerrard when he was asked about staying or going after the match and answered honestly instead of shirking the question...

I certainly find his dull attempts at arrogance on the pitch (the muted celebrations, the hard-done-by looks) a little wearing, and frankly he's not very good at it after seeing Cantona,
Good comparison - Cantona was another (French) superstar who went AWOL in big European games.

I hate to break the news that Barcelona are a bigger club than Arsenal!? ;)

And just about everyone else too!

well, they are wrong, and probably support the shitty, so they're opinion is worthless

you were comparing him with le tissier earlier, and arsenal with southampton

Not an Arsenal fan but he's one of the few reasons Ill watch any Premiership football. The other night's outburst aside he's a true gent and an amazing player. You know he's special when Man City fans applaude him when he goes to their ground and takes a corner kick.

A Living Legend make no mistake.

I don't think he's got the mentality to play for a big club.

He was shite in Italy.

His performances in big matches have been average (and that's being kind).

He'll score hat-tricks v Wigan and the like, but when it comes to the crunch (whatever the crunch is), he usually doesn't deliver - and recently blames someone else for his own short comings.

Stevie G on the other hand...

Cometh the hour cometh the man.

Cometh the hour Henry stays in his Arsenal (did you see what I did there?)

First up he wasn't an out and out striker in Italy he played on the wing. But still,

Juventus - 12 League starts (4 subs) - 3 goals.
Monaco - 52 League starts (58 subs) - 20 goals.
Arsenal - 219 League starts (18 subs) 164 goals.

And the rest of it is shite. :D

How many of them were in actual European competition?

Just out of interest

48 goals in 89 European games.
31 goals in 76 international games.

As someone mentioned before, he was originally a winger rather than a striker.

Should be 50 in 80 really

Ah well, I think it's a bit harsh to compare him to Cantona and shocking to compare him to little Le Tiss

All credit to Terje Hague for making this all possible

yes he was shite in italy, shite management was partly the cause, wenger played him as a striker and he's one of the best in the world now, he did manage to win a world cup though, so does have the appetite for big games

liverpool would take him like a shot wouldn't they?, if he ever decided to move to a smaller club

Seeing as Liverpool finished 15 points clear of arsenal this season, it was also nonsensical.

Incidentally, anyone notice how the term 'big three' has now been dropped from the media lexicon now arsenal arent in it ?

All very convenient.

fairplay to liverpool they had a great season, arsenal were disappointing in the league, makes it more exciting for next season, the gap with chelsea seems to be closing, more of a big 4 now
