Hurrah, frees up the 7th to go to a lecture on inequality at the RSS!
a very kind offer from Hendon:
Hendon FC Offer Direct Support for 12th Man Scheme - News - Dulwich Hamlet Football Club
Might as well get this up high in the thread now - Hendon's a tenner in, fiver concessions, £1 u18s.
It's a lovely Oyster card away trip - Hendon rail (zone 3) or Kingsbury Jubilee line (zone 4). Directions and travel: Greensnet - Official Hendon FC: Directions - Hendon
The pub next to Hendon rail station, The Midland Hotel, was fantastic last time.
Def going to this one. HFC's kind gesture is an incentive for all Hamlet fans to attend if possible,, then both clubs benefit.
Midland Hotel was my favourite pub last season. Defo in for this
The owners of Hendon's ground are joining in.
We need another pool session.
Didn't go there last year but it's now in 2018 CAMRA Good Beer Guide. Will use their clubhouse too.
Camra discount i seem to recall
Fantastic support from Hendon FC. Old rivals and a proper football club. DHFC supporters will not forget your kindness.
A truly generous gesture from both Hendon FC and the owners of their bar.
Hopefully as many fans as possible can make it to the game to take advantage of both offers.
Can’t have been as good a game as when we played on the barge pub before Canvey away last season
I’ll be at this. Very considerate gesture.
With regards to our own bar - I know it wasn't everyone's favourite last season. It has been revamped over the summer and is rather less dingy than it was - additionally, I know there was a lack of ale available as well unless you were content with bottles.
They usually have at least one barrel of ale from the Portobello brewery these days. I suspect there may be a couple for tomorrow week in an attempt to tempt people into an autumnal slumber and sate any thirsts. I'll try and find out tomorrow and let you know what you can expect.
Further to this, it appears that there will be at least three - possibly four - barrels on. They usually have a good variet of ales - not just IPAs - so hopefully there will be something to suit your pallete. I'll be at the ground early to begin User Acceptance Testing - looking forward to hopefully seeing as many as possible of you there.
Looking forward to this one. I work nearby and this fixture has fallen on a Saturday or Bank Holiday for the past few seasons so can't wait to avail myself of the clubhouse ales straight after work.
Great! (Good job no one slapped a Zippo's Circus flyer on Gary McCann's back at our place or all this might not be happening!)
Indeed - he's always been more a Cirque du Soleil man.
Straight to your clubhouse then... Fantastic.
bump! Looking forward to the match, another big one...
Will be heading up hopefully with a few friends in tow. First Hamlet away game was Harlow so hoping for a better result this time around
What’s the best route to take?
By the looks of things nearest tube is Kingsbury on jubilee, can also get bus from Wembley Park, ground is also served by Hendon station which is on the Thameslink.
Kingsbury. Kingsway is just across Waterloo Bridge!
That's the bugger!
