Does the fact that I spend most of my spare time reading and avoid all social contact make me a nerd?


...You know what makes all this even worse? I built this computer. From 7 others and some crap that was on the floors of my brothers' rooms. And yet I can't find, install and run basic video editing software :( :o
 
nerdyness is a strangething indded with many diffrent facets

as for me i have a certian level of nerdness mixed with a fair amout of geekyness but this pales in comparison to my otaku nature

you need macromedia flash 8 to encode into flv or whatever they use which is probably quite expensive

and unfortunatly you can't time travel you presence here was caused in a freak acident when a metorite made or an unknow substance hit the moon in 2923 casing a strange energy discharge that caused one of the AI subrutines to disapear off the eathnet system only to reaapear on the CIA databanks in 1998 unfortunatly due to the limitations of the current technology the AI lost most of it memory and many of it higer function and now exist online trying to rebuild it's personality by interacting with countless insividuals on the vast net ...

Oh, and more on the nerdishness, I'm also a *total* grammar (and punctuation, and pronunciation) nazi. I have to try pretty hard not to constantly correct people (which is kind of weird, considering I'm really, really poor at spelling).

No, no, that's when people care whether or not others use it correctly, I don't care if they listen, I just have to point it out (always in a very lighthearted way)... I may have OCD...:o
 
i don't consider that nerdy , my english teacher is like that.
and she is the the socialble type of person...
 
Update...

There is a nice, easy quickfix. :)

For anyone who has this problem in future, there is a program called ConvertMovie which is really simple to use and can convert between most types of movie file.:) If you have the evaluation version it puts a bit of text over the picture, but there is no time limiand it does the job. :)

Thanks heaps for the help (I wouldn't have found that without it, it was in another section of a website that was linked).
