Help please! Is this camera any good?

That camera was out of stock so I've been to Jessops and got a Ricoh Caplio R5. Spent more than I wanted to because I had to buy a memory card and the case but it seems ok.

there good i have one as a back up and had the a500 befor indeed it all began with a fuji i love them go for it at that price i have mate who has a spare see if he will sell illl pm you if he will..

And, get this - the case has a little waterproof cover that comes out of a pocket! It's like a little pac a mac for a camera! Kept us entertained all night that has, it's sooooo cute!

fuji finepix camera series are quite nice.
mine old one f810 still takes great pictures.

Welcome to the Ricoh Caplio R5 club moomoo. You will not be disappointed. The zoom lens is world famous. You will have paid a lot less than I paid last year for the same camera. I bought the little case as well but it didn't have the waterproof cover then.

Just kidding! (Although the waterproof cover is the best thing about it - it is just sooooo cool!)

Took some snaps of the kids last night and very pleased with it so far.

I think Fuji did a waterproof case when I bought mine, but it was something stupid like £80

I think waterproof is a higher standard, water resistant implies that given time it'll fail.
