This guy is a moron, supine - there is no such thing as an international trademark to the best of my knowledge (and I work in intellectual property). There is a Community Trade Mark route but that only applies to Europe.
Besides, you can't get a trademark for a word in common usage, as other posters have said, unless 'supine' was stylised in a distinctive way.
Incidently, if a trademark enters into common usage and becomes a verb, for example, 'I hoovered the carpet', the trademark is not considered to be distinctive enough more and no longer exists (from what I remember of trademark stuff).
