Absolutely, and the correct pepper for hummous is of course cayenne.

Cayenne is what I use.
And to make it look lush I add beetroot

Should have put some beetroot in it. Even if it still tastes rank it will look great.

I just put some more lemon juice and salt in it and it tastes OK now!
