Nasty man doesn't know what he's talking about

yes he did :D

I won't say what else he said but he summed it up nicely :D

But he was thinking, "Christ, we've got loads of these bloody k750 phones clogging up storerooms across the country; we have to somehow convince people to buy them, instead of the w800 that everyone wants..." ;)

i was going to get the k750i largely cos unlike most other new phones it doesn't look completely shit
but it does look quite crap up close :(
i can imagine you'd get sick of the orange and cream on the w800i but at least you could change the facia i suppose?

for those who have either of them, what is the video recording like? ie max resolution, framerate, is it blurry smeary crap with poo sound?

It's surprisingly good video-wise, but why the hell you would really want to peer at a tiny, little screen is beyond me. It's more gimmicky than useful imo...

I've had my W800i for 24hrs and heart it already.

Incredibly easy to use and navigate and the orange and cream look is refreshing different in a mostly samey world of mobile phone design.

I was going to propose a "In Praise of the W800i and helpful tips for it" type thread where people can add handy links and tips and that sorta thing?

any one tried the e1000 or a1000 from motorola? My moby company are trying to tempt me with a new phone.... must... get ... new.. up...grade

Tip: Its a motorola therefore its shit. Don't even consider anything Motorola and mobile phones. They only make mobiles as the US wants a US based mobile manufacturer.

Why's that then?
It completely fucks up your ability to download music onto the phone, making it difficult, very unreliable and extremely frustrating.

But the PC Suite disc thingy is perfectly ok to use, innit.

Forgive the stupid-ness of my questions, I am a bit simple when it comes to things technological. This is my first foray into MP3 type action for goodness sake!

I'll be having a go at lunchtime though...which reminds me, I can use the PC suite disc on more than one PC, can't I?

Yes. But I wouldn't recommend using the Disc2Phone software to copy music over to the phone (it's a bit slow).
Top tip - mp3s have to be stored in the folder MSSEMC>Media>audio, and you can copy'n'paste files directly into there. :)
But if you want to be able to listen to it on the phone (as I assume you do) you need to create TWO new folders for each album - the first, in audio, called the artist's name, and then a second one inside the [artist's name] folder called the name of the album - your music files then go in there.

OK.

Yes.
