Some time around the early 2000s, I think. Really lush techno, or off kilter deep house. Bit like Planet E/Peacefrog style, maybe.

Possible from Glasgow. Didn't do a huge amount of releases, IIRC. Maybe 20 or fewer?

Can't remember any of the artists on the label.

It's a single word. I thought it was Irdial, for a second, but nope. That's just another label I forgot about. :)

Maybe Orang Utan or any of the people who used to post on OL or LD might know? I think it was popular there. dialectician ?

    Cheers!

Oh, sorry, less than 20 releases, well Soma is still going, over 200 releases IIRC…

The other one that came to mind was Bellboy but I don't think they were lush techno.

e2a: Bellboy were connected to Hook Recordings which were Scottish but from Aberdeen and were mainly trance so that doesn't seem likely either.

I think the kind of music they had was like this kind of stuff

But it's been nearly 20 years now so my memory might be playing tricks on me

Glasgow Underground? Not only one word, but the kind of thing you're describing.

Fez909 did you notice Kenny (The Wasp) and Dan Monox, who used to frequent LD and Erutufon, are now Dixon Avenue Basement Jams? They were also the DJs at the rave in that new film Beats.
Mark Hawkins from those boards also now Marquis Hawkes.
Jackmaster well you know what happened to him lol

Just barging in but I love music in the UK. So many people know so much or have produced it or recorded it or watched it. People I would never suspect have the most diverse tastes. It's one of the best things about life here, that so many people love music. "Without music, life would be a mistake."

Pipecock is still djing with all the Detroit house and techno people. I follow him on Instagram and he's very active/involved.

ha yeah. i say he's a bit strange but we probably agree on more than we disagree on tbh. main difference probably being my love for faster tempos and wonkier sounds, but as a hole i have more in common with him than dark berghain techno people at the once mnmlssgs blog. that was a very decent blog but it sometimes did edge close to that weirdo house-techno separation syndrome which to this day i still cannot understand.
