Took my car for its MOT today and the fella said it's not even worth testing. '96 Micra, rusted up. £350ish worth of welding needs doing. The car was free, apparently worth less than £100, so not worth fixing. I don't drive a lot, but I'll be moving soon, further from the family so will be doing more miles on the motorway. I can afford £2500 if I buy cash. Obviously more if going finance for a newer/better car. I'm not really a car person, so my tastes are a bit superficial. I want something low hassle, that looks decent, and ideally has a nice stereo with bluetooth/usb type stuff. Don't care about cruise control or any of that sort of thing. Manual. Petrol. 1.6ish. Hatchback Cars I like: Astra Golf Polo etc. But I'm currently considering a...Smart Roadster Any advice?
