Are DFS good quality?

If my work situation is stabilised I plan to splash out on a sofa ASAP - my old one looks lovely (apart from the cat using it as a bed ) but it's knackered, 15 years old and pretty uncomfortable.

I've heard bad things about their sofas, I guess the more expensive ones might be ok. We looked at DFS and found the quality didn't seem as good as furniture village where we ended up getting ours.
