Help Me Impulse Buy A Sofa.

You'd hate the one I've got now!

I bet you I'd like it. I like all sorts to look at.

Anyway I was about to say I'm off out for a walk to spare me more frustration so it will be too late to order one but I notice it says I've got until 11pm.

I might get the Lara ( my bed is also called Lara :hmm:) but ask for it in a different fabric.

I'm a bit worried about actually getting it in the flat though.

I'm still going out for a calming walk.

I can't be bothered to tidy up or find my card reader

It's the sofa version of these chairs

Well I'm going for a calming pint now as I've given up on you :p

Anyway. I'm going out so you lot had better have found me a lovely sofa in budgetish by the time I get back.

if it were me, i'd go for option 3 or 4, probably with a formal back rather than pillow back. both look different enough to be made a feature of if you wanted the sofa to be the focal point, but normal enough not to stand out in the rest of the room :)

actually, changed my mind, i think you should get 4 , in formal back :) then put your own comfy snuggly cushions on it :)

I bought one with a back like 4 for the house I rent out after the last one there fell apart a bit - I didn't get to see it or try it 'in the flesh', but when I visited and sat on it, it was dead comfy. How long it will remain so, I don't know.

Quim - did you know that if you go online to dfs they have an option where you can have an 'adviser' call you back - when I bought my new sofa I used that and they called me immediately - were really helpful and it would have been soo easy to impulse buy - but I didn't - I knew what I wanted but went to a store to check it out properly.

Out of those I'd go for number 4, Joelle, BUT Ikea represents much better value for money if you ask me :hmm:

Have you ever sat on an ikea sofa? I have never found one that is comfortable and the ones I have seen in homes have gone a bit ropey really quickly.

i might just get the bathroom sorted instead. It's more urgent and important.

*bloody 'calming' walks*

NOW you're talking. I've been having lots of walks to try and calm the craziness caused by bathroom indecision :(

My sister advised me that I would be making a very bad move if I bought from Ikea. ;)

They're not built to last

See my post on not being very discerning when it comes to sofa lounging :o

I think I was born with a comfy arse.
