Help me get pink clothes white again!

Aargh - I fucked up my laundry so now everything's pink.

I've washed them again with some glo-bright stuff which is actually a stain remover and they're a bit whiter but still pale pink

I presume I can put the all cotton/linen stuff in the sink with some bleach or something but what about the tops which have got lycra in them?

*cries*

Is there something magic I can buy?

oh baby - is it nice pink?:(

Dirt devils, are they still on the market? They removed all sorts of stains iirc.
You'd need to check the packet though. You might get them in Woolies or if there is still an ironmongers in your area.

Be very careful with bleaching. Use a mild solution a few times rather than a strong solution once.

Or go on a shopping spree??

The tops and the bra are brand new. I'll try and see if I can get stain devils. I'm just pissed off because I got them especially to wear under white shirts and they don't really work if they're pink

 @ self.

I'm such a fucking muppet

You could try Dylon Colour Run, but you need to use it outside, and it's fucking lethal on your lungs. I'm also not sure that it would work on the lycra items. Is there any way you could just get in touch with your inner Barbie?

Just read your post about white clothes - actually pink is closer to your skin tone and so will show through less than white would!

you only need a VERY WEAK solution of chlorine bleach to get rid of pinkness...and your frillies should be fine hun

(often have to do it with the little un's clothes, strawberry, juice, etc)

still worth a try, if they're unwearable already...

That happened to me and i bought something called colour run for mixed whites. I think i got it from Superdrug, it does work.

Will bleach work on lycra stuff too then? I didn't know that.

Oooh - I love the smell of bleach :o :D

Don't leave it on the bleach for too long or everything will have a yellow hue...

About an hour's soaking should do the trick...

I've bleached many things in my day with hilarious consequences, don't know if bleach is stronger in Brazil, but once I left a pair of trousers soaking overnight and when I had a look the next day they were a bit dissolved!

much better, IMO to use the "less bleach, longer time" method....

it really doesn't have to be strong, the time will do the same work

ace bleach may also work, or oxy/non-chlorine bleach(however i've not found this stuff AS good)

weak solution of milton/sterlising fluid would also do the trick.

I'm off down Kilburn High Road to see what I can get.

Is about a capful okay in a washing up bowl?

I think I may do this tomorrow when I have no pressing engagements - otherwise I'll be tempted to rush it and pour 1/2 a bottle in

Don't do it in a rush. Too much bleach can eat the man made fibres!!

That's why I said gentle bleaching :p

There should be instructions on the bottle, but in case there isn't my bottle says 100ml to 5 litres of water. It also says don't pour bleach directly onto clothing, but how else you meant to tie bleach :D

You should get your nostrils checked too weirdo ;)
