Help me get a PC, I don't know shit.

Wait a minute macs don't have a right click. How do I save pictures from the internets?

What mouse are you using...? Mac supports right click -- just plug a mouse in that has two mouse buttons...

When I plug it in my keyboard it doesn't work. I can only get my small round mac one click thing to work.

Plug into the computer then...? Though it should work from the keyboard... What mouse is it...?

Holding ctrl and left clicking works on a PC, so I'm sure holding ctrl or alt or the apple key or something and then left clicking should work on a mac

Yep, hiccup's right. It's Control click for right button.

Have you tried System Preferences and then the Mouse preferences to see if you can activate the mouse button? Generally it's just plug and go with USB on macs - I've never had to configure the right buttpn

The whole dell mouse is inactive, not just the right click.

Well... Are you sure it works...? Have you tried plugging into a the computer directly..? I've *never* had to do anything special to get USB mice working under OS X. And that includes wireless ones and trackballs...

It does work, I took it off a PC. I'm guessing it works if I plug it directly into the box but I don't want to. I'm happy with my control button for now.

New question.

How do I get useful stuff like photoshop and word on my dashboard?

:D heh

dashboard?

you mean the desktop, right? right click a thing and create an alias, now you can put that alias anywhere you want - like on your desktop.

No I mean dashboard. The stupid ugly looking bar at the bottom of the screen (it calls itself the dashboard and has applications all along it).

Blimey, this is hard work. That's the Dock, not the dashboard (that's an icon on your Dock which brings up widgets).

To get programs to appear on your Dock, just locate the applications icons on your hard drive (click on the happy faced Finder and then the Applications folder) and drag the icon to your Dock. That's it - it'll stay there until you drag it off the dock again.

And you can change the appearance of your Dock in System Preferences - move it to the left or right of your screen, change size, magnification and even hide it by default.
