Help me choose a dSLR system

Oh No! Someone let me play with their D200...

don't worry, I've played with good Nikons and I wish we had a standard lens system between the 2, so we could use whichever body we wanted to use.

I must admit though my 5d is still a lot more useable than a D200.

Don't get Sigma glass in telephoto BTW, it's shit on any body, have a look on ebay for my suggestions above.

Snadge, I don't really agree wrt Sigma & telephoto.

The 50-500 has long been rated as a good budget long lens, the 70-200 f2.8 HSM is also an excellent lens, and I spent a lot of time on the dpreview forums in the past, there was an american man on there making wonderful photos with a Sigma ???-400 f2.8 I think. Some Sigma lenses whether normal or telephoto are very good, and good value indeed.

thelittlechef I would really recommend you spend some time in the dpreview.com lens forums. There are loads and loads of lenses being evaluated by users there and they are posting pics taken with the lenses and there is more (no offence snadge) than just snadge and I arguing the toss
