Help, I need to buy a car

Well, it's halfway between the price you found in Parkers and what they are asking, so not very cheeky.

They of course will say that the car that they are selling is much better than average for the year - but they are asking half as much again as the Parkers price.

One other thing about diesels - you need to make sure it starts OK from cold. If the engines been warmed up beforehand they may be trying to pull a fast one.

Cheers, I'm going to ring the garage first thing.

I have been looking for a Micra but I haven't had any luck. I don't really like Toyota or Honda cars.

Good call.

Toyota are the most reliable but you most likely won't find one and you don't like them anyway. Honda and Nissan are about on a par for reliability.

I just sold my Micra... I think they're hard to find because people tend to keep them :) (I had mine for 7 years and I only, reluctantly, sold it, because we got offered a much newer car at a very decent price). If I had a garage I'd have kept it forever, I think they'll be like minis one day.

Very cheap to run and insure too.

I've bought the Clio! Got it for £875, I've paid the deposit and will get the car hopefully tomorrow when my loan clears in my bank.

Yay.:D

They're probably doing the teeth thing coz Fiat is well known to stand for fix it again tomorrow.

Iirc aqua had a fiat for ages and it did a shite load of miles. Personally I'd go for a small german or jap car. I love my Golf I do :)(tis a 1.8 though so tax is a bit ouch!)
I did and I travelled the country in it but fuck me it was forever needing stuff doing to it

it died in the end, and I can't say I'll ever have another fiat tbh

But looks like it was assembled by a blind drunk.

Fiat-no way.

Go Toyota/honda/Nissan, and preferably a Japanese assembled one if you can.
That's a bit unfair - the Micras are made in Sunderland and are put together really well.
