Heavy Metal Drum and Bass

There are John B mixes of Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson from a couple of years ago.

And not drum n bass but you could try Traffic by Distance for metal-dubstep.

there's a dnb mix/cover/booty of raining blood that's really rather good iirc :)
player - angel of theft. tis an amon tobin project...

i think concord dawn did a cover too, although that's a bit shit in comparison.

edit: ah yes. it's .

that amon tobin one fucking rules though. 40 notes to pick up now apparently...

The one i can think of is Concord Dawn's remix of "Rain in Blood". It's pretty good actually (ok, upon listening again, it's o--k)! They aren't "metal" DnB though, not at all...

Gona second fear factory, some of their more electronic and remix stuff is quite... interesting.

with the exception of pitchshifter and lightning bolt(although 3/4 of the tracks on their myspace are painfully bad, like sonic youth bad) none of the acts mentioned are very metal.

moon: www.pitchshifter.com is the more drum and bassy one. Deviant is pretty good as well, hidden agenda off that album has quite a sick drum track.
Thier drummer is amazing.

You're just trying to be controversial for the sake of it aren't you?
Lightning Bolt are totally fucking awesome (but fuck listening to them at home, seeing them play is where it's at), and, really although Sonic Youth are blatantly overhyped, they do piss all over Pitchshifter (who, to give them credit, are a decent band, they've just never really done anything very special (or if they have it's never come to my notice)).

I thought drumcorps was a bit too laptop cut and paste..
But I've seen him play live and it's pretty damn impressive- sweaty headbanging frenetic guitar blasting, pedal-activating arm-thrashing madness, definitely not just laptop click'n'drag by any means.

I hate sonic youth. They make my ears hurt.

The stuff on the lightning bolt myspce reminds me of sonic youth with all the pissing about making weird sounds rather then writing tunes.

Nothing controversial. Just not anything i like.

That captain caveman tune isn't too bad though, it sounds like a song.

i remember pendulum dropping a raining blood remix into one of their sets back in about 2003 or so

i saw sonic boom six support anti-flag once.

They were the most laughably bad band i have ever seen in my life and i have seen symposium(supporting someone)!

Post 43 before someone mentioned ATR for shame :D

NIN - Perfect Drug probably the only NIN song Trent 100% disowns and to be honest rightly so

He disowned it...? Info please! (I actually LOVE that track :))

On April 6, 2005, despite its fast-moving worldwide success, while presenting the late-night BBC Radio 1 Rock Show in the UK, Trent Reznor stated that "The Perfect Drug" was his least favorite creation. His reasons were the short production time and the "overblown" video.

It's also the only single to have never been played live (the single doesn't even include the original version) and is just poor, it shows he was more focussed on playing doom/quake and strung out on drugs to create anything worthwhile.

I knew I'd never heard him play it live, didn't realise he'd NEVER played it live!

Disagree though, think it's a great track ... though the vid is overblown :D ....... like most of his other vids! :P
