It's hard to tell. In most of my favourites lists there are recordings that are extrememly rare/unreleased to anyone.

You never really know what % of an artists work leaves the studio - unless you're something like a Ryan Adams or Madvillian fan, because they release everything they put on tape, with no thoughts of quality control whatsoever.
And this is my problem exactly

I think I have 100% of a few band, but I can't say for sure. And being the total fuckin pedant I am, this stops me!

Anyway, am off to Montreux, be good ;) :D

Queen.

I've also been fortunate enough* to hear a lot of their stuff that hasn't been released to the public - studio outakes and jams, alternative/demo versions of tracks etc

* I admit this is a debatable point :D

So you hadn't heard all their b-sides..?

No, I had heard their b-sides, but I've not bought anything or listened to anything since that album. I bought that b-sides thing and didn't even play it because I had all the singles  @ me.

I reckons ... thinking about it ... hmmm ... not as many as I might've thought!

Pixies
Idlewild (up until they went all U2 lame)
The Polyphonic Spree
Edan The Humble Magnificent
Dresden Dolls (this game is alot easier with newer artistes!)

... will have to have a think/look at CD collection for more :)

Ohh i think i've heard everything anti-flag have ever done as well i missed them off!

And haven't bothered with any band/artist that has less than three albums.mix tapes out otherwise its far to easy. I can start adding loads of artists if i'm allowed to do that.

This is so hard to do, especially with hip hop and dance as they very often guest on others' tracks and then there's remixes.

The only act I ever got into a completist mentality about was the Super Furry Animals, and up until after "Mwng" I think I had all their albums (including the special rubber case for "Out Spaced") and all their singles, including the early rare vinyl limited to 500 copies. They always did damn fine B-sides.
