Haye v Maccarinelli 08/03/2008

am glad we didn't pay for that. sounds like davie hayes knocked shite out of enzo this morning.

He certainly did - watch it on the link posted above, it won't take up too much of your time.

The extremely vocal Welsh contingent soon fell quiet when they saw their boy get beaten up - that means it was money well spent in my book!

Nice result for Haye, altho' I don't think it should have been stopped when it was. Also, Enzo made a cardinal sin of not taking a knee when he was down.

I can't wait to see what Haye can do at Heavyweight.

You know more about boxing man than me Numbers, but having seen the replays Enzo's legs had completely gone, I don't think he could have continued.

Also looking forward to seeing Haye fight at heavyweight.

You be surprised bro, the power of recovery boxers have is unreal, if he had of taken the knee and got up at 8, you never know. But you're probably right as I've only watched it once.

I've not seen any interviews or anything, how has he taken the defeat?

peace

cheers, didn't notice that (and thanx to relahni as well).

blimey, that was certainly clinical.

Must admit that I know little or nothing about the current heavyweight scene as for the last few years it's been all about the smaller boys, so who's next for Haye? I know he's already fought and won convincingly once at the higher weight, so will he go straight for a title?

Haye looked supremely confident, after watching klitschko fight the other week I think haye would scare the shit out of him. At 6’3 and his current weight he could bulk up a little but otherwise he’s almost perfectly built for the heavyweight division.

Carl Froch fighting soon, Clinton woods on april 12th, calzaghe on april 19th, british boxing just keeps getting better and better

from what i have seen he is admiting he made mistakes

the post match interview with enzo calzaghe was interesting. he was slightly annoyedwith maccarinelli, ("if you make mistakes, you lose the fight,. he made msitakes") and maccarinelli had to sit there and take it like a little boy getting told off.

The Cobra is on ITV.

There's something about Froch I don't like either, but he is a good boxer, for sure.

As for Haye, he'll be quite comfortable at 215/220 like Holyfield was and I reckon his best route into the reckoning will be against someone like Rahman.

imo he needs a cpl of fights before he takes on the really big boys.

Considering how dreadfull the heavyweight div is atm anyone with any boxing talent like Hayes will do well, then again I though the same with Fraudly Harrison

Oh God, there is a gulf of difference between Haye and Harrison.

It feels wrong mentioning them in the same sentence.

Apparently the Froch Inkin fight is off. Inkin is sick.

Also, Johnny Nelson wants to come out of retirement to fight David Haye!
