managers yes. not anyone i've managed. like most things in my life, i like my working environment to be as messy, difficult and complicated as possible
No, ta! I don't know what I'd catch. Corporate-ladderclimbingitis or something. It wasn't my boss anyway - just someone I met in a pub who turned otu to eb a manager (as they repeatedly told me over and over again like they wanted a round fo applause).
Consider my refusal a form of proletarian strike action/withdrawal of labour!
i met my g/f when she started working in a shop i worked in. often i was manager. that was nearly 2 years ago and we are still together. no ladder climbing was done.
Plus I woudln't want to shag someone who's idea of pilllowtalk would be to moan about how they were "having trouble" with one of their staff not respecting their authoritah - and about the machiavelian plot they needed to concoct to make them seem inefficient in order to sack them whilst avoiding employment law.
i worked with a marvellous PA. She worked her way through the executive board in very short order, and kept a running total of the salary she had bent over for in hotel rooms. on an excel spreadsheet on her desktop iirc
i believe that she was approximately £700,000 for 5 at the end of her 6 month probation, and none of the board could do anything but approve her continued employ and payrise at that point. clever girl. she did fine out of it, was very much in control of the situation and certainly enjoyed it to the hilt.
