Have you ever invaded the pitch?

On the pitch, on the pitch, on the pitch

I, along with most of the South Bank, ran on the pitch at Elm Park at the end of the last match held there before Reading moved to the horrid Madejski Stadium. Me and a mate grabbed some turf while others around us grabbed goalposts, corner flags etc. Mate is a Reading fan so planted his turf in his back garden. I put mine in a bin on the way to the pub.

Elm Park was my second ever away trip with the Gas - Easter 1994. Proper football ground that, miles better than the plastic bowl they have now. There are bits of Elm Park displayed in the Nags Head in Reading I think :)

twice.

when man city beat birmingham at home in our final home of the season in the 99/00 season and (prematurely!) celebrated returning to the premiership after 5 years away, tho we still had to beat blackburn in our final game (how embarrassing that would have been if we hadn't beaten blackburn...)

secondly 3 years later at the very last game at Maine Road in 2003

Never at Oxford (or at any of their away games) we were either doing far too badly, or had much too mid-table mediocrity, during my REAL fan of em days -- ie season ticket era etc.

Bizarrely though, myself and several other Yellows, on our way to a Middlesborough (away) match the next day**, joined the Northampton Town fans onto the pitch at York, when the away team managed to draw
1-1 and thus secured promotion! :)

**We lost to Boro 4-1. Gacoigne scored one of theirs. That tells you how long ago ... roughly! ;)

no, but I did wander about the pitch in Estonia when Scotland played the game that never was ( 0.-3 default win, later changed to a rematch 0-0)

I'm somewhere in this one (Ipswich Town v Bolton Wanderers, Play-off semi-final 2000)
I'm somewhere in here (Rayo Vallecano v Xerex, sealing promotion in 2011)
And here I am, actually on the pitch, after the "Tamudazo" (Raul Tamudo scoring in the last minute to keep us up in 2012)

Did you see the reports about the polis invading the Bukaneros 'house'??

Been on the pitch numerous times.

1994 when Everton stayed in the Premiership last game, 2013 when Celtic played at Brentford to name 2 that I vividly remember.

Yeah, basically they've used Jimmy's murder as an excuse to harass the Bukaneros. They've raided their house a few times before as well and of course they were harassing Alfon for ages before they finally fitted him up.

Not touching Frente Atletico though, obviously.

Yeah, it used to be a regular thing at the end of the last game of the season at Lincoln. Obviously it was best on the very, very rare occasions that the team had actually won promotion but it's a harmless enough laugh anyway.
