I'm very glad he won, but am a little sad that he didn't shine as well as I'd hoped.

I just hope he sorts his diet issues out, and that he isn't on the slide.

Come on son!

He won easily but it wasn't the most entertaining fight I've ever seen. He is saying he took his foot off the gas after 6 but I thought he looked very tired.

If he fights like that against Mayweather he'll get beaton I reckon. What do you think Tony?

Great to see a Brit go to las vegas and win so comprehensively. Hats off to Ricky for sure.

Round 5 was a worry though. Some of the body shots hurt him - there was one to the chest that made Ricky wince and then, Rollem pointed out one of them to the rib looked like it was going to floor Ricky - not sure if he was off balance, but it was a little worrying for sure. End of the day, I say job done - the press have come out with a bit of a negative steer on the win!? Something which I can't quite get my head around tbh. A win is a win - a win in Las Vegas against the champion is a big win imo.

Watched it last night.
Hatton seemed to die off after about round 6-7.He didn't seem to be over tired, was he carrying an injury?

His trainer said, earlier in the week that he could only see two more fights before he retires. So is he pre-empting an announcement to retire soon?
Is he struggling with training/injuries,burn out etc?

I honestly fancied Hatton to defeat Mayweather(with the right referee) IF the Hatton turned up who fought Tszyu,if Saturdays Hatton turned up for PBFM it would be one sided.Has the lifestyle caught up?

Alright boys, soz for not getting back to this thread. been mad busy with work/life and am doing technical training too, studying for an exam. so haven't had a chance.

IMO fucking shit from Hatton. first few rounds he boxed well, after that, horrible to watch. Urango looked like the champ and Hatton looked like the chump.

On that showing Mayweather will kill him, absolutely kill him. Apparently Hatton had a chest infection. Maybe he did, and he's not one for making excuses... but I don't think so. More like his lack of training when he's not fighting is catching up on him. Billy Graham telling him to hold on and just see it through with a few rounds to go is not a good sign.

Hatton should be a well oiled machine between fights, have his body hard all the time, some of those body shots nearly broke him in half and it made him think about it and imo looked a tad frightened of taking more.

He can take a shot pretty well tho', thank god.

Urango was strong, that's all, he was a very limited fighter, compared to Tszyu and Mayweather and the likes. And he's quite young with less than 20 pro bouts. Hatton has had 40+ ffs.

Not the best Vegas debut, regardles sof score. But that should have been a lot closer in my eyes.

To beat a champion, you have to really beat them. Did Hatton really beat up on Urango? no. Did hatton at any stage hurt Urango? no.

Bag o shite.

He shouldn't have problems with Castillo, but forget Mayweather. Pretty Boy is naturally 147 and Hatton didn't like it up at 147, if Collazo gave him trouble, Mayweather would knock him senseless like he did to Gatti, maybe not as badly, but with his beautiful lateral movement and speed and accuracy, he's cut Hatton to ribbons.

anyway, peace ya'll.

Another thing i noticed about Hatton, on at least two occasions he looked to the Referee when he thought Urango was being a bit rough in the clinches!
This from a guy who used to relish the rough/dirtier side of Boxing.

Hatton was a fighter who used to see refs as a fucking nuisance, someone who got in the way.

Reminded me a bit of how Tyson looked to the Ref when his career was waning.

Got to disagree, gatti has been in with the best,i think he did better than Hatton would,in the last showing, against PBF.

PBF would pepper Hatton at todays showing,i can't recall such a demise in a fighters style in recent years as Hatton.

It was on the cards though.
