Hatton v Lazcano

I think we all agree that Hatton can't beat Matweather. But he could clean up at Light Welter. It would be could to see him truly step up to welterweight tho, and fight zab judah and shane mosley. Then maybe have a BIG fight against Cotto. he'd have to be prepared to lose again tho.

So it should be malignaggi next, this'll be a good fight. hatton FTW.
I'd like him to then fight Tim Bradley who seems to be an up and coming fighter. should be interesting

Hatton is on the slide, no question about it, imvho.

From a man who has spent the majority of his career at Lightweight, to catch Hatton as clean as he did and cause this damage, not good.

Obvious statement, I know, but it's the drink and pies.

A lot of people calling for HAtton to retire now........

Looking forward to watching it tonight at 9.30.

I don't agree that Hatton is on the slide, He lost to Mayweather who is basically the best boxer on the planet

so where's the proof of him being on the slide??

Lazcano's chin is made of IRON

it's a very good point tho that he got punched too much, Hatton's defence has never been as world class as his attack!

he was very open, and very un defensive ( as always), this works ok against V good opponents and makes for a great fight (thats part of the reason everyone loves Hatton) But Floyd will expose ANY weakness coz he's so good

Basically Hatton is the best L Welter, and fought a living legend and lost. He decided to carry on and will beat any L Welter

hatton on the slide or reaching his natural peak? he's looked good and steadily improved but you do have to wonder whether he can really carry on developing to beat the very best. he did great againt kosta tszyu but pretty boy floyd was merciless and luzcano had him nailed too easily. another interesting thing i read about mayweather was his attitude to training. he keeps fit all the time and trains up when he fights. there isn't any slack time or down time for him as far as his boxing career is concerned. cos no matter what people might say, he's smart enough to realise how good he is, what rewards that can bring him and how its a relatively short term sacrifice to make.

Apparently Hatton is looking to open a chain of bars, called Hitman. If it's true sounds like he knows he's peaked and boxing isn't where his future lies.

Well no sports career lasts forever best to set himself up now. Doesn't mean he doesn't have a future in boxing.

Which enhances Paulie's post earlier about Mayweather being in peak condition all of the time, cos he knows it's a small sacrifice in the grand scheme of things, and hey... he's the best fighter on the planet, so he's doing something right.
