hating housework

I'm confused. You say you have children?

Have you never heard of ''chores''?
If you mean me the feel free to attempt to get my children to do anything that doesn't involve a gameboy, a wii or a football next time you're down :D

No madz, I didn't mean you.

Sometimes people don't! :p

and to be fair, you are saved from making your own white chocolate cheesecakes.

I admit I'm always quite impressed if people do have clean skirtings. I just can't work out how they do it :hmm:

I run my besocked toe over it when I'm on the phone :)

Weirdly enough my flat isn't at all dusty, despite having wood floors and being on a main road. It really freaks me out, I'm thinking about writing to the Fortean Times.

wooden and laminate floors are great. all the dust wafts to the edges so you don't have to hoover for yonks.

I have a lot of skirting boards - that would take me a day :D

My house is really dusty. I wonder if it's to do with the open fires :hmm:

Sorry. If people don't quote who they're replying to then it's quite difficult to know who they mean

It was funny about the first 50 times

But you know I know you've got children and that you can't get them to do housework.

so there.

i feel 'normal' now :):) do you think its nature or nurture that makes you like this? i can't really blame my mum, i wasn't there long enough for this to have come from her and she wasn't fussy anyway.

i can't stand to live in new houses either...makes me very unwell in the head :(

mr numbers  if you lived nearer then you could clean my home and make me cocktails in yer marigolds all you liked... i could live with that.

I too despise houswork and would actually be too ashamed to invite my prissy PA colleagues over to my house ever as they probably would not sit down and they certainly would not eat anything out of my kitchen.

Not that we live in a pigstay mind - it's passable - just that each one of them has some sort of crazy OCD like obsession about cleaning, ironing etc. One of them even irons her fucking towels! She also complains that she has no time to do anything "fun" when she's not at work because she's always bloody cleaning. Mental.

These people would hate me for my dirty skirting boards ;)

Heh - whenever my boss comes to my house, you can see his nose wrinkle. His wife is a total clean-a-maniac - she mops the floors every.single.day!!! She cleans up when she comes home from being on holiday!! When she already cleaned before she left :D

I too am allergic to housework. Brings me out in a filthy temper.

oh and gardening, even though I'm middle aged and meant to love it.

*fail*

she mops the floors every.single.day!!!

I suspect my mother-in-law cleans like this...last time I was at her house, I really noticed how every single inch of the place was absolutely bloody spotless. And I mean totally SPOTLESS. Suddenly, I realised how much she must hate our place and look down on me as an usuitable wife :(

:D:D

I've now taught the littlun to hoover the front room and do the dusting. She thinks its a game, not sure how long I'll get away with it.

I met someone on OKCupid who was meant to come on Thursday to do some cleaning.

I got an email on Wednesday saying he wasn't well

He's meant to be coming next week instead - if he doesn't turn up, I'll kill him.

Mind you, my newest sub has offered several times to do my cleaning. He's in bloody Dover though
