Harry Potter and The Goblet Of Fire.

For me the film was spoiled by Hermione's horrendous end-of-term-school-play acting (lack of) talent - she's got progressively worse with each successive film.

Thats odd, I thought she was good, espec at the end of the ball.
I must admit, I choked up a little when Diggory's father hugged him before he went in to the Maze...

Top film.

I think they did a good job of squeezing as much as the book into it as is possible in 2.5 hours. I would much rather prefer they made it into a 4 hour film so they could not only fit in the extra plots (e.g. the dig at journalists, which I feel was rather good in the book) but also to be able to set the scene and take more time creating the dark atmosphere and building the relationships between Harry, Ron and Hermonie.

But the cool thing about watchign teh film was they had an old fashioned "Intermission" half way through the film :D :D

you choked up then? I was in floods when he came out of the maze...

Kyser, you wait till you read book six, babe - it's soooooo much better than GOF.

I didn't get to see it until the weekend just gone - I'd promised my nieces and nephew that we'd take them - we all enjoyed it.

My nephew obviously enjoyed it because he said "it wasn't very long" and was amazed when I told him he'd been watching it for two and a half hours!

Hermoine is very pretty, which of course she isn't supposed to be in the book.. although I guess she's blossoming because the books don't mention her plain-ness anymore.

I got really excited about David Tennant being in it.. then Jarvis.. then Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort...

How sad am I... :o

Loved it!!!!!
Bring on the next one and be quick about it!!

:D
This is pretty much how I feel. I really enjoyed it. There's a fabulous sense of a real alternative world in the films - I can imagine the Wyrd Sisters being up in the Magic Charts - which can only get deeper with the next adaptations (like the Other Prime Minister chapter in Half-Blood Prince). Great costumes, too.

Not read any of the books or seen any other of the films. This stands quite well as a film on its own as one hundred and fifty minutes of entertainment. Some ends and characters could do with an explanation (who is that ghost in the bath) but not really a detraction. The sets and ideas really make it, the Bulgarians arriving by galleon and the world cup stadium. I thought particularly good. The acting of the three principal characters was wooden though and wouldn't hold up away from this franchise.

Worth a fiver.

See if you had read the books or seen at least one of the other films you would know that the girl is moaning Myrtle(sp?) who died or was killed(can't remember) when Voldemort was at Hogwarts(I think).
