eh? I suppose you either get it or not. IMO its the funniest thing on tv, Ive never laughed so hard in any other 1/2 hour tv slot for a looong time. I hate him in stand-up, but this...genius.

You see, I used to hate his stand-up, but then i caught him live at my local for a charity gig. Honestly the funniest man I've ever seen - some of the jokes may be a bit crummy in isolation, but the sheer number he cracks and the energy of his performance just somehow make it work. I spent over an hour in floods of laughter, as did the whole audience. It's difficult not to warm to a man who seems to spontaneously burst between jokes and songs at a rate of knots. He just doesn't let up.

Seen him since and he's never been quite as good. But that first performance will stay with me for life.

TV Burp is bloody grand though. It's the same inspired lunacy, bizarre observations and simplicity that make it work.
