Hardcore Pornography

For me it's something that is very much open to abuse, especially with a capitalist system, and with austerity. People, mainly women, do it for the money, to just get by, and they are pressured to have unprotected sex. Now, because they rely on this for income they are having lot's of unprotected sex, even when they know they have STD's, thus spreading the STD's. Also, there have been cases uncovered of women being tricked into doing porn, by signing what they thought were modelling contracts, then they are threatened with violence and legal action if they don't comply, also rape. Then you have stories of porn 'actresses' being assaulted on set. But personally I just think it's generally demeaning for all involved and something that probably only exists because we still have capitalism.

I mean, we treat the slaves well, what's the problem? And look- they don't mind!

What do you think would be a good political system that would make porn disappear, and why would your suggested system work?

They don't always consent and even if they do it's kinda like saying: what's wrong with slavery if people consent?

I saying that it's all about consent, and that consent is essential. And you are giving examples where there isn't consent.

By that approach there is no difference between consensual sex and rape.

Anarchist-communism, because it would abolish wage slavery and patriarchy and bring about a society based on human need and not the profit system.

There would have to be a change in culture ofcourse, the emergence of a more feminist culture I guess, it would require much education I suppose. I guess that goes without saying, but in my opinion an anarchist communist 'system'/society would go along way.

have you ever understood that the world of hardcore pornography is a sub-section of the world of work?

i don't particularly want to work but it's work or starve. where's the consent there, chuck?
That's a good point and I don't disagree with you.

Persoanlly I think sex is a very intimate part of our lives and should ideally stay private on the whole.

you'd still have plenty of people putting homemade porn on the internet.
There's always the exhibitionists and voyeurs to fill any void left by professional porn. I'm not sure if it's true but isn't "amateur" the most sort for term in porn on the internet?

The written word is far more non consensual than video or photographs.

I'd have to give Bahnhof Strasse a whole fiver to video him being violated. Whereas I could describe it at length for free without any consent from him at all.

A fiver? He only charged me £1.50 and a tube of Smarties.
