happy hardcore dj'in'...waste of time?

If Ninjaboy's mix is the tracklist he just posted on the Urbanites Mixes thread - then you have no idea what happy hardcore is!

Not one of those tracks seems to be a happy hardcore track!
Yeah, I thought most of them were back in the day from 1988 when House was still cool :o

I don't play much house, it's all tech/breaks.

The only time I play some old house is when you get a bunch of kids who don't know their Jamie Principle from their Jamie Oliver...

such anger :D

hapy hardcore was still big in the north east and scotland last march

i didn't realise they still made breaks anymore, it got boring for me about 2001 but different strokes....

Jack has a groove nonsense??

Whatever you're talking about I'm sure in your planet makes sense.

I play breaks these days anyway, grown up music that doesn't sound like it was produced by the Smurfs for cunts who suck dummies in nightclubs, like this...

What's wrong with being like that? We all enjoy different things you music nazi.

PK has dictated that we are not allowed to like music of this sort. He has spoken, let it be so.

Let's all shoot each other at a "breaks" night instead. Sweeping generalisations ahoy!

I like listening to happy hardcore for about 15 minutes.... :) for a laugh...but after that I usually feel like slashing me wrists..it's fine in small doses..the early bonkers compilations were ace! :D

pk - you've lost all your credibility by confessing to playing breaks which is just as much a redundant cul de sac of a genre as Happy Hardcore and Trance

*ahem* if I could direct you to the top 40 compliations chart you will find a huge number of trance complations are in there.

www.bbc.co.uk/radio1

Also on New years eve at Heat I am sure the 4,500 clubbers were bored to tears listening to Trance.

What's that got to do with anything?

You've heard me play many things - "breaks" doesn't cover it in the slightest, I'll usually end up playing anything and everything - except of course happy hardcore.

And I'm sorry - people who suck on kids dummies and juggle glowsticks in a club?

Cunts. And that's a fact.

Like I said - mildly amusing back in 1993, and that was when it was all new.

Died with Altern8, mercifully.

Oi! Wanker. I like waving my glowstick about. I may look like a gurning loon but who am I hurting? I enjoy it. Why do people get so snobbish about music?

Well if trance is a "reduntant cul-de-sac" why is it still selling in the mainstream charts and why are people still going to trance nights?
Cos redunant cul-de-sacs sell lots of tickets - hence the continued success of sellout tours by the likes of Neil Diamond and The Shadows

You suck on a dummy too?

Painter's mask?

White gloves?

This has fuck all to do with music!

I'm not the biggest fan of trance, all that psuedo-hippy bollocks that goes with it is just a tacky distraction in my opinion - but I'd sooner stick on a trance belter than any of that speeded-up 2Unlimited bullshit that is happy hardcore...

What is the point in just slagging off other peoples choice in music.

IMO is just a lame attempt in trying to make an argument.

I love all types of music from Niel Diamond to Happy Hardcore and love them all just as much, cant people just accept people own opionion and be less biased to their own ?

We could, but there wouldn't be many thread in this forum and the world would be a much duller place. I like a bit of Neil Diamond too.

Pat, in a hat, with a twat.

Notice that they are smiling. They may look like twats but they are having a good time and having fun. Isn't that what clubbing should be all about?

Who gives a fuck what people think of you?
