Handwritten cover letter?

Exactly - and would probably be regarded as discriminatory, unless there was a genuine reason why you needed the skill for the job, eg you had to hand write certificates or something where it mattered that you had neat handwriting

Indirectly discriminatory hence my 'objective justification' point.
 
Theres nothing to stop you or any other applicant getting someone with good handwriting to actually write the letter for you: - as long as the words are yours its your application
 
They just want to make sure you can write without the need for a computer. Basic literacy skills.:)

I'm sure your handwriting's fine electrogirl, just put some guidelines underneath the paper :cool:
 
The only thing which can be loosely called 'writing' I can do these days is my signature - and that is barely more than a squiggle. Other than that it's strictly block capitals only...
 
Graphology's very big in French companies I'm told.

And airy-fairy ones managed by numpties.

Yeah it's pretty much been discredited over here although there was a vogue for it about 10 years ago.

Dunno if the French are still keen, they always used to be.
