Hamlet v Lewes

Looks like we’ve given up trying to work out when Sam German might play football again.

Also, what happened to Ross Marshall? Allergic reaction to a red card?

Deleted post, may have misinterpreted what's going tomorrow so erring on side of caution

I haven't been for a year or two but am coming along today with my 5 year old son.

I know kids his age go free - will he need an actual ticket? I've just noticed that they are no longer available online. Will I need to get there at 12 to get him a ticket or will he be admitted with me?

That comment on the club's social media feed about getting there as close to noon as possible is a rather unhelpful and confusing attempt to get people in for the televised Palace v Millwall cup tie. If anything it'll just put people off who don't want to hang around for ages. I'd advise getting there by 2.30pm, which should be early enough, but there's no way of being absolutely certain. If you're paying on arrival it's card payments only as you pass through the turnstiles, there's no actual ticket involved.

Curious to know the answer but why are a number of pubs closed on Lordship Lane tomorrow? https://x.com/dulwichhamletfc/status/1895549782480859328?s=46
According to the club's matchday information post, the EDT is "shut", but no idea why. Apparently The Bishop was also closed for several days last week due to "emergency repairs", according to their own social media, but it was open again yesterday.

Sorry I totally forgot to say - I already have an online ticket that I bought a couple of weeks ago. Do you think my son will be ok to come in with me if I arrive at 2.30pm?

I don't know how that works, but I would expect so. Nivag is best placed to advise.

EDT is being refurbished.

That was a big letdown after Tuesday's excellent victory. A 3-1 defeat after being a goal ahead from the 10th minute until 10 minutes into the second half, then two more conceded in the final 5 minutes. We made a bright start and Kaunda gave us the lead with a great finish after being released in space on the left of the box. Lewes played lots of pretty passing football but had offered no attacking threat whatsoever, until we handed them the equaliser on a plate from a sudden counterattack following a sloppy short pass from Wynter on the halfway line.

We almost seemed to have become sedated by the visitors' possession play by that point, and after one decent attack when the keeper made a vital save from Scott, we never gained enough momentum or showed enough urgency to win. The second Lewes goal was a penalty, awarded when a forceful headed clearance was adjudged to be a foul. (I was too far away to see clearly either way.) Then we gave away a daft third when the debutant keeper took too long to clear a backpass that was charged down by an opponent, who ran the ball into the empty net.

Good performance for the first hour or so. First goal for Lewes completely changed the game. After that, always felt like we were on the back foot. Things still looking much better than they were a couple of months ago though.

Penalty looked soft. Wynter was penalised for supposedly wrestling the forward to the ground as the ball was coming into the box. Player reactions are normally a decent guide for these things and there were a lot of complaints from Dulwich players.

"SAVE WOMEN’S FOOTBALL FROM THE W$L"

A reference to these proposals for Women's Super League clubs to have their reserve/development teams parachuted into the upper levels of the pyramid:

It might be a little more than that, they're also planning to vote on whether to scrap and relegation, and maybe ringfence the top two divisions

Penalty is more than soft. A remarkable decision that probably summed up the ref’s overall performance. He caused a booking by standing on the way of a player and got in the way of Dulwich players going for the ball on numerous occasions.

Mighty Max pics!
