Hamas: we'll kill Jewish childeren.

My understanding is that the human shield strategy is deliberate.

If you can find a neutral source to the contrary, well and good. Actually, if you can find a neutral source at all, I will paypal you a falafel.

In the worlds most densely populated areas in the world, with just apartment blocks, every living 10 to room. Of course there will be civilians with hamas militants. Where else can they go!

Sure, but Israel appears to still be following the strategy laid out in Mussolini's mate Jabotinsky's 'Iron Wall', while Hamas have been keen to discuss as settlement based on the right of return and the 1967 borders for years now.

Of course, that's pretty inconvenient for Israel if it is still following Jabotinsky's strategy isn't it?

So they've been pushing the idea of the 67 borders and right of return..... and firing missiles at Israel at the same time?

I removed the "evidence" part because it was detracting from the main point, but if you're claiming that that link justifies shooting ambulances you've lost it.

No, the link shows the use of ambulances by Palestinian terrorists; something that you said there is no evidence of.

Excuse me for interrupting, just saw this reported on ITV News and they said Hamas would kill Israeii children anywhere in the world.
Wonder what the original quote was. Jews or Israelis?
Not that one is right and one is wrong, thinking more of ITV might be diluting the quote.

No, I didn't, and that was why I removed the reference, because I suddenly realised that it would be a spur for you to start googling "terrorist ambulance" and post up a load of irrelevant crap. Hey! Terrorists have pretended to be civilians! So civilians are fair game!

The issue was whether or not there was precedent in the area, for the positioning of weapons etc near civilian facilities, in an effort either to deflect the chance of detection, or to gain propaganda points, when the weapons, and the surrounding civilian facilities, are attacked upon discovery.

Very carefully worded seeing as the IDF has its facilities in all towns and cities and virtually every building in Israel has arms in it

"Negotiate with us. Let us back in to live amongst you. But in the meantime, we'll launch missiles against your civilians, in the dead of night."
Of course you forget the siege and Israeli bombardments of Gaza, in which case taking those into account it might be more like, "We want a ceasefire and to negotiate on the basis of the 67 borders but if you keep starving us and bombing us we'll make sure there's a price to pay"

There isn't.

You're going to continue posting your google results aren't you? I'll just state it once and I don't expect it to be addressed: there is no evidence of any sort of actual significant pattern of anyone positioning military targets near civilian ones that would justify attacks on civilian targets. It is now and has always been an excuse for attacking civilians, because they are part of the infrastructure of the society that the aim is to destroy, and/or for psychological impact. I imagine I could go back to the point at which artillery and bombers started to be used and find the same rhetoric.

Worth quoting:

"On November 12, the [New York Times]’s Jerusalem reporter, Isabel Kershner, wrote: “At least six Palestinian militants were killed in a clash and an Israeli airstrike on Nov. 4 after an Israeli force entered Gaza for the first time in five months."

Therefore, the rockets into Israeli territory after nearly six months of cease-fire followed – rather than preceded – the Israeli invasion into, and the killings of Palestinians inside, the occupied Gaza Strip."

I said in another thread, that Hamas has a right to resist Israel's army. To be fair, the Israelis also have a right to defend their people.

Hamas has no chance against the IDF, they have only killed one Israeli soldier since the ground invasion(at this time of writing). I think we lost 15 troops in Afganistan in December alone.

The best thing Hamas could do, is promise not to fire rockets into Israel, and then the IDF will return to Israel.
Not ideal I know, but fighting and losing is not a great idea either.

Doesn't matter in JCworld I expect.

I must admit though, I'm interested to see how he'll try to twist the facts to fit his 'Israel is always right and Palestinians are disgusting terrorists who deserve everything they get' narrative.

I think the Israelis have made a bad mistake going in on the ground. At some point they will have to pull out and Hamas will declare victory by firing more rockets into Israel.

Random shelling of Gaza City would have been much more effective.
