Hamas adopt Resistance principles

The phrase relates to the country, doesn't it, not the people ?

In the hug of 'the bear' one is stuffed, so to speak.

It's certainly a pre-Soviet expression, in fact Peter the Great used it, according to a biography I read. IIRC it was something to do with Russia (the country and it's people) being like a bear, slow to rouse, but implacable if you annoyed it.

African americans may call themselves 'niggers', but I wouldn't use that phrase myself.

What moono and violentpanda said is correct - it refers to the country, not the people - anyway, I always got the impression the Russians liked the term.

Tangent, et al...

Tangent: The Mistah'Araveem do not engage in any armed activities. there are separate squads that do this, and yes, they often dress as Arabs to facilitate movement.Don't confuse them please. As for throwing stones, yes, the Aravweem do engage in it but NEVER iniate it as you suggest. They have to when a demo starts, they cannot be seen as unwilling to participate. Your suggestion that they iniate these demos as to provide justification for IDF dispersal methods is ludicrous. As if the Arabs don't already iniated them quite frequently [although not for sometime as Qassams seem to be in vogue now in its place].

More info: Salafi ARE Sunni. anyone that accepts the orthadox sucession is a Sunna. Fundamentalism has no bearing on whether one is a Sunna or Shia. quite simply, Shia believe that it is neccessary for one to be a blood descendant of Muhhamed in order to be the caliph, Sunna believe in a consesnus of the ummah.

Moono: As for the world opinion on zionism, actually the majority of the world could not care less. The Muslim portion actually hopes it stays aeround as it provides a welcome scapegoat for internal dissent and fundamentalist movements. It is only a tiny, tiny minority who actually truly hate the Zionists and what they represent.

Justice is of interest to most of the world's population, I hazard to assume. It is not solely a matter of the Zionists leaving Palestine, it has a far wider appeal in terms of justice being seen to be done.

Most of the world doesn't trust America as a direct result of America's support for Zionism. America has been seen to abuse the UN and the world's more moral States are off-piste.

This is welcome, but overdue, imo. Hamas are going to have to suffer atrocious Israeli provocations before the Western general public accept that the Zionists have been the real terrorists all along.

Hamas are a heap of filth that killed 8 people in Tel Aviv today.

Atrocious Israeli provocation?

Utter fucking bullshit.

Oh right, you're one of these fair-minded observers that think the Palestinians are required to sit back and absorb 2,000 artillery shells in April alone are you ? That's terrorism. The Israelis have killed 26 Palestinians this month. You haven't even mentioned one of them.

Hamas, the PA, International organisations have all been asking Israel to cease the starvation and killing of Palestinians. They have taken no notice. Then mugs like you pop up as if this suicide bombing was completely unprovoked.
Utter fucking bullshit.

Precisely.

The evening passes, the clock strikes midnight, and suddenly, the carriage tranforms into a pumpkin again. The planes roar. The missiles fall. The magic dissipates. And 6 people are dead. Just another Gaza Friday. http://electronicintifada.net/v2/article4620.shtml

Since the start of April, Israeli forces say they have fired more than 2,000 artillery shells into the northern Gaza Strip. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/4910810.stm

I hate to break the news to you; but it wasn't Hamas who carried out the attack Even the right wing press have said that.

The truth comes out...

Mono: So you finally let it slip, "Jews leaving Palestine..." But did you not say that you support Israel's "Right to Exist?" Please clarify your stance.

Hate to explain this to you Moono but those 2000 shells? They were pounding Qassam sites, not pellmell. Furthermore, that policy has proven its effectiveness as recently as late last week when Qassam crews were chased from the vicinity of Beit Lahiya because of fear of Israeli reprisal operations. Do the Qassam shells upset you?

As for starving Arabs, nonsense. guess what Moono? Humanitarian AID is not subject to blocade, EVER. I just came from there. There are no starving Arabs anywhere near there. And if they want comsumer goods, and who doesn't? they should stop using Karni Crossing Terminal as their personal firing range.

Those sexy pics of battered Arabs was used in another thread BY YOU. Does it get a tad bit boring for you after a while? Can't keep track of the propaganda bits?

Nino: Correct, HAMAS allowed it to happen, almost as good for most but we know how collective responsiblity only suits you when it is time to blame Israel.

Let it slip ? You sound like Inspector Clouseau. I'm NOT hiding anything.

You've also misquoted me , evidently in your eagerness to slap somebody with your favourite 'anti-Semite' tar brush. I actually said 'Zionists leaving Palestine' and I never mentioned Jews at all.

Clarified enough for you. ? 'Nubile'. Lol ! :D

Edit; Nobody likes your slurs, rachamim, I'd have thought you'd have realised that by now. In fact, there's even a section devoted to your tactic in the Harvard/University of Chicago paper 'The Israel Lobby'.

Your replies to posters are barked out like orders. Hamas did not carry out the bombing...no matter what you want to believe.

I suppose this means more "punative dozing" and "punative bombing" of civilian homes.

Astronorks;
Spoken like a true gentleman who never uses slurs himself.

You know, I've never seen you contribute anything of worth, nothing historic, nothing novel, nothing knowledgable, nothing constructive.

You're just an auld gossip, Mrs. Dumpty :D

The same...

Moono: How would suggesting all Jews leave "Palestine" be anti-Jewish [anto-Semitic is an incorrect term]? Jew is not synonymous with Israeli, you least of all should havethat one down pat. However, Zionist is popularly synonymous with Jew and saying "Zionist leaving 'Palestine" is akin to "Jew leaving 'Palestine." Of course you might be one of the many Arabs and Muslims who suggest those Jews willing to submit to second class status in the envsioned "Palestine" would be aloowed to live there...In any event your semantics are not covering the issue.

NINO: Please point out where I claimed "HAMAS carried out the bombing."
