I'm in London from the 27th to the 30th October, and I'm thinking of going to a Lead Pipe halloween thing (http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=4896044689) on the Saturday and need a costume idea... Someone I know went to a halloween party a couple of years ago as a commuter on the bus that got blow up on 7/7, which I thought was inspired if in poor taste. Another guy went as Terry Waite, complete with radiator handcuffed to his wrist

I beg to differ - I think that dress would work fine for a sexy clown!

Anyway, it's all in the makeup and the 'persona' if you ask me. A little white on and above the eyelids, red lips, red nose if you feel so inclined, darken the eyebrows and give them a bit of shape...

I have to say: I think the dress looks like giftwrapping, but if you like it...

We are doing a freaky circus theme this year to go with the scary moving clown we have in our shop window!
I'm wearing shoes with lil pom poms on, bright but plain coloured tights with stripey thigh length socks on top, a lil tutu, a bright but plain teeshirt with lil pompoms on, back combed hair prob...and half face like a clown and other half with skin peeling off and blood seeping out

I'll never find it again but I saw a very funny youtube clip last year relating to how every fancy dress outfit aimed at women is basically "sexy" this or "sexy" that. It was just loads of really silly stuff like "sexy nun" "sexy frog" "sexy roadsweeper" It's not really funny unless you see it though.

It's basically true though - 99% of all women's fancy dress costumes are a shorter, shunken version of a normal outfit

This year I shall be getting two cardboard boxes, painting them grey, putting them on my feet and going as a mafia-hit It would allow you to wear anything sexy you liked (you could add chains and stuff) but I expect the boxes would get trashed at a rave...

Finally decided on my outfit - going for a Clockwork Orange look - bowler hat, false eyelashes for the right eye, white shirt and trousers, white braces. Oh, and a cane. Line drawn at codpiece though, eww.

I would just like to point out there is no such thing as a sexy clown outfit. Clowns are evil and not even the good hot vampire chick evil, I mean Phil Collins evil
